With his finger tapping on the his table, he waited for her. He didn't know how long he waited but he was getting impatient. Something in him told that his Theresa wasn't the same. She faced a tough life outside. She had every right to be mad that he didn't come for her, that he gave up after five months of fruitless search.

All he felt at the moment was guilt and he went ahead to call for his mistress, one that he promised himself and his wife that he'll never be with. He cursed himself over and over. She had every right to be angry

He stood up to ease his mind by looking at out the window at the little garden, praying that it will ease his mind a little.

"Queen Theresa, My King" the guard bowed.
He saw her frown at the tittle. Her head hung high, with pride and ego. She also showed superiority as someone who could command respect.
She's looked more beautiful that the last time he was saw her. Things have changed though

She has this outstanding siren eyes, her amber eyes searched the room before it fell on his. His breath hitched, she's beautiful he's brain kept telling him.

The gown did well to make her gorgeous and her hair...

She cleared her throat to get his attention. Her face looked serious and he had to follow

He looked at her one more time
"Am sorry" he began. Her brows raised in confusion
Now! He was sure something really happened out there

" I shouldn't have stopped looking for you" his said trying not to look too guilty. Her face immediately changed as she began to understand his words
" What happened out there" he asked looking up to her face. Was it that he hadn't seen her for long or he just realized she's olive skinned

"Eyes up" she said and his felt his face redden but he covered it with a smirk

"Am I not allowed to look at my wife again?"
He felt that the word wife never settled well with her, but he'll make sure to remind her every now and then so she doesn't forget and rather get used to it
She looked and acted more bold than usual

"Call off your people "

"Our people " his voice controlled

" My people don't kill the innocent "she said her voice coming out from behind gritted teeth

"Explain" his calculative haze sweeping over her sitting figure once more.

He sat in front of her as he listened

"Whatever medium it is..I don't know but they keep Cross to the other side" she waited for her words to settle

His eyes narrowed there was no way any one would be able to get to the other side
"What other side do you mean Elodie?" He asked to be sure

"The forbidden side, the humans... they're dying soon they'll be wiped out"
He had no idea why she cared much. For the fact that they were safe it was enough for him but since she cared he would look into it

There was no way anyone would leave the kingdom except he had the stone. One that he was sure he had with him. His hand subconsciously went to his chest and sure enough the necklace was still there

"I don't know what you're talking about" he said not looking into her eyes

"That's why am telling you. Aren't you the king?" Her accent felt off.

"Do something, people are dying" her voice increased by a few decibels "You can't just have immortals walking into the mortal realm like they own it! Do something Alaric"
His heads shot up. She had never addressed him like that

"And am guessing that's where you're coming from" his anger beginning to rise
"How did you get there Elodie? I searched for you everywhere and you were in the mortal realm?"
