'Come on! We did not choose these colours, Dau!', rang Satyaki's voice. The entire room was chaotic.
'Oh yes we did, Satyaki! Stop fussing around. It was decided that all of us would be colour coordinated. All of us are wearing sky blue today to complement Kanha's lavender. All of us have the exact same attires and jewelry. Maybe the crowns and turbans would be different.', retorted Balaram, his hands impatiently placed on his hips. He was dressed in an elegant dhoti of shimmering sky blue, adorned with intricate gold patterns. He paired it with a rich, flowing Uttariya that draped gracefully over his shoulder, accentuating his regal presence. majestic crown adorned with vibrant gemstones that sparkled in the light, symbolizing his noble lineage. His neck and arms were adorned with ornate gold necklaces and bangles, each piece reflecting his strength and grace, adding to his divine charm on this special occasion.
Satyaki went away muttering, irritated.
'How do I look?', asked Uddhav, he was almost ready, dressed exactly like Balaram, except with a smaller crown.
'As smart as ever, Uddhava!', said Arjun, smacking Uddhav's back.
'Bhrata! You look so smart yourself!', exclaimed Uddhav innocently, admiring Arjun, to which, Arjun winked at him affectionately.
'Bhrata Dau! You look like the most capable administrator in the world!', complimented Arjun looking at Balaram.
'Thank you, Arjun! You seem to be ready to take over Nakul's handsomeness today!', Balaram returned the compliment.
'That reminds me. Where are the rest of the Pandavas? Aren't they supposed to be here by now?', exclaimed Satyaki as he came back dressed.
'Were you waiting too long for us, Satyaki?', came a voice.
They all turned around to see four young men walk in, smiling.
First came Yudhishthir, the eldest Pandava, walking with an air of calm authority. Clad in a richly embroidered royal robe of deep green, he exuded a sense of righteousness and wisdom that naturally drew respect from those around him. His demeanor was serene, yet his eyes sparkled with the anticipation of the celebration ahead.
Beside him was Bhim, his broad shoulders and muscular frame accentuated by a vibrant red dhoti. His boisterous laughter filled the air as he playfully flexed his biceps, showcasing his unmatched strength. The warmth of his personality was infectious, and his jovial spirit brought a lively energy to the gathering.
Following closely was Nakul, his features handsome and refined, wearing a golden attire that shimmered in the light. He moved with an effortless grace, a playful smile on his lips, bringing a sense of lightness to the group. His charm was evident as he exchanged cheerful banter with his brothers.
Last came Sahadev, dressed in soft pastels that highlighted his gentle demeanor. His serene expression and thoughtful eyes hinted at the depth of his wisdom, contrasting beautifully with his brothers' exuberance. He carried an air of tranquility that balanced the lively atmosphere.
They all looked at Balaram, Arjun, Satyaki and Uddhav, with broad grins, as if meeting old friends.
'Finally! Yudhishthir, Bhim, Nakul and Sahadev! So happy that we meet after a long time! Welcome to Madhavpur! Where is Pitrbhagini Kunti? Has she not come?', walked Balaram forward, as he welcomed them all.
'Bhrata Dau! Congratulations on your wedding! We would have not missed your wedding. But at least we are glad to have made it to Krishna's wedding Mata is here, she has gone to meet Vasudeva Maatula.', said Yudhishthir, falling at his feet, followed by Bhim, Nakul and Sahadev. Balaram blessed them all and embraced them.
'Gurudev! It is so good to see you after a very long time', said Bhim, gruffly, his hands folded.
'Well, my dear Bhim, I see that you have been practicing. Your muscles look well toned! Keep progressing this way!', blessed Balaram. Nakul and Sahadev folded their palms eagerly as Balaram approached them.
'Twins! One is getting more handsome than ever and the other wiser than ever! May Mahadev bless you both.', exclaimed Balaram.
'We are so pleased to meet you after such a long time, Bhrata Dau!', said Nakul, flashing his handsome smile. Sahadev, quietly smiled and nodded.
'Arjun! I hope you haven't troubled Bhrata Dau and Krishna!', chuckled Bhim, looking at Arjun. Arjun smirked and went to his brothers to seek blessings from his two older siblings and to embrace his two younger siblings.
'Bhrata Yudhishthir! It is such an honor to have you and the other esteemed Pandavas here today!', exclaimed Satyaki, his grin filled with excitement and his palms.
'Satyaki! How good it is to finally meet you! We are all so happy to be here.', Yudhishthir embraced Satyaki, followed by all the brothers.
'Uddhava?! Is that you?', exclaimed the quiet Sahadev after he embraced Satyaki.
Uddhava had been looking at them with eyes filled with immense awe and respect, excitement and humility. At Sahadev's voice, he smiled and nodded.
'Uddhava! How have you been? We were all just talking about you a few days ago! You look exactly like Bhrata Krishna himself.', exclaimed Nakul as he ran to Uddhav and embraced him tightly. Uddhav's eyes shed tears! He knew that Arjun had told him a few days ago that the Pandavas and Kunti spoke about him, but he didn't know they would recognize him and treat him with so much of love and respect. He embraced Nakul and went on to embrace Sahadev, and seek blessings from Bhim and Yudhishthir.
'Uddhava! It is so good to see your innocently charming face! How have you been?', asked Bhim as he gently embraced Uddhav.
'I have been good, Bhrata Bhim! I did not expect that you would recognize me', he spoke through his tears.
'Uddhava! How can you say that? You and Satyaki are as much a part of our lives as much as Bhrata Dau and Krishna', said Yudhishthir with a smile.
'Alright, alright, if all the emotional reunions are done, can we have you freshen up? And then I'll introduce you to more of our friends! Mind you, all of us are in the same colour code and attire code until the wedding.', cheered Balaram.
'Oh yes! And when do we meet Krishna?', asked Bhim.
'Soon!', said Balaram, smiling and escorted the way for the Pandavas to freshen up.
