As Balaram led the Pandavas through the vibrant halls of Madhavpur, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation, each step echoing with excitement. Colorful decorations adorned the walls, draping the corridors in rich fabrics and intricate garlands of fresh flowers, creating a feast for the eyes. Brightly colored lanterns hung from the ceilings, casting a warm, inviting glow that danced across the polished marble floors. The intoxicating scent of jasmine and rose wafted through the air, mingling seamlessly with the melodious sound of joyous laughter and music that filled the palace. Musicians strummed their instruments in lively rhythms, while dancers twirled gracefully, their colorful attire shimmering in the light. Each corner of the palace radiated an energy that spoke of the celebration ahead, reflecting the love and excitement shared by everyone present.
Balaram couldn't help but feel a swell of pride for his beloved brother's upcoming union. The memories of childhood laughter and shared adventures flooded his mind as he looked around at the bustling preparations. He could see servants scurrying about, ensuring every detail was perfect for the festivities. As the walls echoed with the sounds of merriment, Balaram's heart swelled with happiness, knowing that this day was not just a celebration of marriage but also a gathering of friends and family united by love. The warmth of camaraderie enveloped him, and he felt grateful for the bonds that had been forged over the years.
The Pandavas saw his pleasant face, filled with joy and smiled along.
'Bhrata Dau! We aren't done with the introductions yet?', piped up Arjun.
That made Balaram snap back to reality. Smiling at them brightly, he said, 'Follow me!', and he led their way into a large room nearby, comfortable enough for five people to relax and change. The rest of the Pandavas except Arjun, went inside and quickly changed into sky blue attires, looking exactly like the rest of them.
'Ready to meet others?', asked Balaram, approving their outfits and charming personalities.
'Aye aye Captain!', saluted Nakul and Sahadev, bursting into laughter. Joining them in laughter, Balaram led the five Pandavas onto another room, which housed Rukmini's five brothers and her father.
'Let me introduce you to our in-laws. This is Maharaj Bheeshmaka, Rukmini's father. Maharaj, these are the valiant sons of Krishna's and my aunt, Maharani Kunti of Hastinapur, the Pandavas, Yudhishthir, Bhim, Arjun, Nakul and Sahadev', Balaram introduced.
'What an honour to meet the valiant Pandavas!', said Maharaj Bheeshmaka, hands folded.
All the Pandavas sought his blessings.
'Maharaj, looking at you, I don't know why and how, but it feels like I am meeting Rajarshi Seeradhwaj Janak! Your face radiates with so much knowledge.', said Yudhishthir, his hands folded.
'That is too kind of you, Eldest Pandava! Your fame of following absolute Dharma and honesty has spread far and wide. Your brothers' fame is widespread too, Rajkumar Bhim's unmatched strength, Rajkumar Arjun's skills in archery, Rajkumar Nakul's knowledge about horses and Rajkumar Sahadev's quiet observation skills', blessed Maharaj Bheeshmaka. He smiled at each of them as he spoke of their qualities.
He suddenly took a keen look at Arjun, 'Rajkumar Arjun, have we met before? I recall having seen you somewhere.', he asked curiously.
Arjun chuckled to himself and looked at Balaram, who grinned at him slyly.
'Pitashree, he was the one who came dressed up as Sohini Devi, with Krishna. He came as Mohini Devi', said Rukmaratha smiling. Rukmi looked sheepishly at Arjun, almost embarrassed, thinking about all those events.
