Chapter Twelve - 2nd Date with Visitors

It's the next day, but I wonder what Iris said, but I don't have the energy to ask her so I don't worry as much.

She wakes up, and I'm still on the bed half asleep as she ponders around the room, tidying it up quietly.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." she says.

"G'morning." I say as I look up at her, half asleep.

Then I sit up and then sit sideways, facing her, as she cleans the middle of the room, as for me on her bed, far on the edge of the room by the window.

"My mom left for work, it's a teacher workday so we don't have school." Iris says.

"Mhm." I make the noise as I'm slowly opening my eyes.

"You're so sleepy, I'll make you breakfast, Eli" Iris says.

Then I quickly open my eyes as I hear that name.

"What did you just say?" I asked, my eyes wide open.

"Eli?" she says, confused by what was wrong.

"Why?" she adds.

"I don't know, you've never really called me that, just Elodie and El." I say, shocked.

"It is a cute nickname now that I think of it." Iris says, then turns to look at me.

"I guess so," I say, then I think to myself.

But it's cuter when you say it.

"So, do you want breakfast? We can go out to eat too, and if you wanna stop by the mall we can." Iris asks,

"Let's go out," I say.

"Oh, I know where to go, but I can't tell you where." Iris says.

"I feel like I know where this is." I say.

"You might know." Iris says.

"Alright, get ready." she adds.

"Ok," I say with a smile as I hop out of bed.

As we I get ready, Iris is finishing as I start. We play music and she asks what I like, I told her to play 'girl in red' or 'Tyler, the creator' or anyone else, or just the top hits for today. She then proceeded to tell me that she likes, 'girl in red' and I couldn't stop smiling. I'm so glad, we can jam out to 'we fell in love in october' and, 'body and mind'.

I started telling her how I really enjoyed Tyler, the creator and his songs with Kali Uchis in it. I showed her some songs and she seemed to know some from Tiktok audios. I showed her the full songs and we jammed out to that too.

Then, I finally finished getting ready.

"Alright, ready to go?" I say.

"Yeah, but you know I'm still not telling you where were going." Iris said, as she had a smirk on her face.

"And I told you I have a gut feeling, if I'm right, you have to buy me whatever I want from the menu." I said as I suddenly put a smirk on MY face.

"Fair game, lets do it."

"But, if your wrong, you have to buy me a Matcha Latte, medium." she said.

"You're on." I said.

"Alright, let's get in the car, El." Iris said as her words made me drag myself to the car.

"Oh and grab the sleeping mask on your way out.

"Uh oh." I say as I grab it and as the words direct my towards the car.
