hey walker
sorry for not reaching

hey gwen
i should've texted you
are you free today?

AFTER ALMOST TWO weeks of Walker and I not talking to each other, I broke the streak. But that doesn't mean he wasn't eager to text me. I got a reply in less than a minute. He immediately asked to hang out. I requested we watched a movie, Hercules, at the theater down the street. He laughed at my choice but agreed.

Now I stand, looking in the mirror, waiting for him to knock on my door in precisely eight minutes. I spray my Bare Vanilla perfume on my top and pressure points. I have on black shorts and a tight blue shirt. My ears and neck are stacked with gold jewelry along with bracelets that cover my wrists.

I grab my nyx lip oil and spread an even coat along my lips. I dash out of the bathroom and hop around my messy room. Clothes and bags litter the floor. Just as I grab my phone from the charging port, a knock comes from the door.

I mentally prepare myself as I grab my wallet and head to the door. I take a breath and swing it open.

"Hey."

"Hi, Walker." I almost sigh when I see him. His messy, curly hair with his movie star smile. Not to mention his dazzling blue eyes. "Long time no see."

Walker laughs. "You could say that. You look good Star."

I blush at the nickname. No one's called me that in a while.

"Ready?" Walker asks. He steps aside so I can leave my room. I shut the door, and we walk down to the elevator. "How have you been?"

"Fine," I reply. "And you?"

He shrugs. "The same. Just busy with filming."

I nod. The theater is about five minutes away, so we start to walk once we exit the lobby.

"How's filming been?" I ask.

"It's been really fun," Walker says. "We're a little over halfway which is crazy."

"Yeah, it must be flying by." I smile.

"How about your interviews?" Walker asks. "I saw your Vogue shoot. Very impressive."

I blush at the fact Walker watched my morning routine. "It's been good. I only have a few more before I can go home."

Walker frowns. "Oh, yeah."

An awkward silence fills the space between us as we walk closer to the theater.

"I'm sorry for putting you on the spot yesterday." Walker scratches his neck.

I giggle. "No worries. Sunny wouldn't stop pressing me about it."

"Hm. I wouldn't expect anything less." Walker grins.

We finally reach the place after a few more minutes of small talk. Walker pays for my ticket and buys us snacks. Two slushies and a large popcorn to share. I didn't even have to remind him I prefer a slushy over soda.

There are only two other people in the theater, a mom and her daughter near the front. We find a spot in the middle and get comfortable. There are only a few previews before the movie starts.

"Long ago in a faraway land in Ancient Greece..."

"I'm a damsel. I'm in distress. Have a nice day."

We're about thirty minutes through the movie when I grab for another hand full of popcorn. While doing so I make contact with someone's hand. Walker's hand.

We both react at the same time, pulling away.

"Sorry!"

"Sorry!"

The employes here must be really hot cause they cranked up the AC. I've been freezing for ten minutes and was stupid to not bring a sweatshirt.

I shiver and bring my knees to my chest. Walker notices.

"Are you cold?" He asks.

I nod. "Yeah, a little."

In one swift movement, Walker pulls his hoodie over his head. His shirt lifts up a bit to reveal his abs.

I inhale when he passes me his sweatshirt. "Walker, you really don't have to-"

"It's fine," he says, grinning. "Really, I was getting a little warm."

"Okay," I mumble, a small smile creeping onto my face.

I catch Walker staring at me. More than once. It doesn't mean anything though. I stole a few glances of him too. But we're just friends.

"No chance, no way! I won't say it!"

"That was really fun."

After the movie, Walker took me back to my hotel. His is literally across the street so he claimed it was no big deal.

"It was, Star," Walker says. "We should do it again soon."

"We should." I smile. "See you later, Wonderboy."

_____________________

I lowkey ate with this chapter. Also do you get the nickname? Its cause Meg called Hercules Wonderboy and Walker plays Percy who is basically a greek god. And Percy gives up immortality just like Hercules did for their girlfriends. I literally thought I was a genius when I came up with this. So Stargirl and Wonderboy.
