I woke up today in a really great mood! Its currently Saturday morning and I decided to have a friend date today. I called my friends, Naomi and Jakaylen of course, to see if they were free and they were. We planned to go out around 1:30. Since I wanted to pick them up, I started getting ready around 11.
My mom came in my room while I was getting ready and we just talked about everything. My life, her life, who we're messing with, etc. The relationship we have is just top tier for the most part. She ended up bringing up Erica and how she still wanted to meet her. Although I definitely do want them to meet, I have to make sure everything between us is okay.
I finally finished getting dressed and headed out. I don't know what we are gonna do, but we can figure that out as the day goes on. The drive to Jakaylen's house was not that bad since she lives 15 mins away. Once we picked up Naomi, we decided on getting food first. I let them choose the restaurant, and of course Jakaylen chose Chilis since it's her favorite. The good thing about Chilis is that they are fast so i'm not even mad.
After eating, we decided to go to the mall. We went to stores like Ulta, H&M, Footlocker, etc. I needed some more shoes in my mind so I got some New Balance and Jordan 1s. Something slight you know. We decided to get a pretzel from Auntie Anne's before leaving. As we were driving back to my house, Erica called.
"Hello"
"Hey V"
"Hey Mo, you okay?" I asked trying to set the phone on my phone stand
"Yes baby im good, you okay?" she said and Naomi and Jakaylen started fake gagging causing us yo laugh. They erky lol
"Yes ma'am what are you doing?"
"Nothing bored what are you well yall doing?"
"On the way to my house we just left the mall"
"Oh okay well call me later I didnt know you had company"
"You sure"
"Yes baby it's okay"
"Okay I'll talk to you later then" I said kind of sad, I didn't want to hang up yet
It took us a good 30 minutes to get back to my house. It was only 6pm so we decided to order pizza and snacks so we could have a little movie night before they had to leave. One thing about is we are always gonna argue about something so small. After a 20 minute argument, we decided on watching Bad Boys.
While we were watching the movie, Erica texted me and asked if she could come over. I immediately went to my mom's room to ask. My mom meet Naomi and Jakaylen when school first started so she doesn't really mind when they come over, but since she has not meet Erica yet I just wanted to make sure it was okay. She said yeah, which definitely made me happy.
Erica got to the house around 7:30. When she first got there she seemed extra nervous, I mean she is meeting my mom for the first time but it shouldn't be that bad....I think.
As soon as we got in the house, my mother was already downstairs with Naomi and Jakaylen. I swear she was in her room when I walked out the door. Erica spoke to everyone and we just sat down. Thirty minutes into Erica being here my mom asked if they could chat. We all heard and saw Erica do a huge gulp. My poor baby.
While they were talking. Naomi and Jakaylen started making scenarios of what would happen next. Not gonna lie. these fools are actually funny. They talked for a good 20 minutes before coming back, and surprisingly they both came back smiling. Everything is okay! My mom went back in her room after there conversation.
Once the movie was over, I had to drop Noami and Jakaylen back off home. Today was definitely a good day for me and I hope them as well. After dropping them off, Erica and I went to Taco Bell before heading back to my house.
"Baby" Erica said grabbing my hand
"Yes" I said holding onto her
"I like your mom she's pretty funny. The talk with her wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be"
"Im glad"
"Guess what she told me before we came back"
"What"
"She said she's glad we found each other apparently Im the best person you've talked to"
"Awe she aint gotta say all that tho" I said playfully rolling my eyes
"Thank you V"
"For what baby?"
"Just allowing me in your space I really appreciate it. It's something I never want to mess up" She said kissing my hand, so romantic
"No need to thank you, you did this all on your own and I really appreciate it"
We got back to my house around 9:30 and just went in my room to eat. Since she decided to stay the night, I gave her some clothes and necessities before showing her where the guest bathroom was. We eventually laid down after and watched her favorite movie, Dreamgirls.
Im glad that her and my mom had a good conversation. It just makes me feel a lot more confident in our relationship, so confident that I am fighting the urge to say I Love You.
