You wake up, feeling a pair of arms tightly around you in your bed. Holding you tight, keeping you very warm and cozy. Not thinking of the previous night, you are startled by the unfamiliar presence in your bed and jolt up, ready to attack. With what, you don't know. But ready to attack nonetheless. As soon as you glance over at the "intruder", you realize it is in fact Jake. Jake who you slept with last night. Jake who you SLEPT slept with last night. Also, Jake that invited you to go on his tour with him, where you'd be traveling the country with him and his brothers/band.

After last night there was no doubt in your mind that you would go. After he showed how much he loved and cared for you during the events of yesterday, you believed it was plausible to say, at least to yourself, that you love the man. Slowly and gently, you moved Jake's arm that was trapping you against him and made your way out of bed. Jake stirred slightly but did not awake. You assumed that he was a heavy sleeper after recently witnessing him sleep until 10 while he stayed with you, even though you often woke well before him, walking around, and doing things, not very quietly, around the house.

After exiting the bed, you went to your closet pulled out olive green corduroy overalls, a colorful striped long sleeve shirt, and your Birkenstocks. You went to your bathroom and got ready for the day and then peeked back out into your room to see if Jake was still sleeping, which he was. You walked out of your bathroom, securing the end of your second braid with a tiny elastic and made your way into your living room, where your suitcase resided in a closet. You pulled your suitcase out like it was Jenga with all of your other belongings that cluttered the closet and made your way back to the room, once again fearful that you may have awakened Jake.

Once again, Jake was fast asleep when you walked in. As Jake was snoring away (figuratively), you packed your suitcase with everything you would need to go on tour with Jake. After finishing packing and leaving your
bags in the living room, you made a few phone calls to take off work and find someone to watch your house and dog (who was sleeping even more soundly than Jake). Once everything was arranged you headed to the kitchen to start making breakfast for Jake. You spent about an hour cooking strawberry waffles, eggs, and bacon. As if that didn't smell good enough, you put on a pot of coffee, which filled the air with another rich aroma. Just as you are finishing up you hear a yawn from the hallway.

Jake walks into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes, and comes up to hug you from behind. You lean back into his hug and he presses a kiss to your temple. "Good morning sunshine" you say. "I'm pretty sure sunshine is my brother, you'd know that if you came to meet him." Jake said back, hoping you'd have the answer to going on tour by now "oh is that so?" You reply "go look in the living room, there's a surprise for you in there" he raises an eyebrow at what you say and makes his way into the living room. Less than a minute later, he slowly walks back into the kitchen. "a suitcase?" he asks. How is a suitcase, my surprise?

"Let's use our brain, Jacob." You say, sounding like you're speaking to a toddler. His eyes immediately grow wide. "You're going on tour with me!?!?" he exclaims questioningly. "Now that I've used my brain..." he glares at you after saying this. "I think this may be in my top three surprises of all time." "Of all time?" You giggle. "And what are the other 2 if it's only top th-" "I don't know, I'm too excited to know." he picks you up and spins you around, kissing you again. "I can't fucking believe I actually got you to do this." "You're gonna have a horrible time." He jokes. "Don't make me unpack my bags, Jacob." You say teasingly as you pull him down for yet another kiss. "So what do I need to do? I can help you finish packing. I can help you sort things out I can-" "it's all sorted out, I'm coming with you whether you like it or not" you say after cutting him off.

After the excitement settled a bit, you and Jake sat at the dining room table and ate your breakfast, drank your coffee and talked about plans for what you'd do on off days during tour. He told you about all of the locations you'd be going to and the landmarks he had already visited and wanted to take you to, and also ones he hadn't visited that he also wanted to take you to.

The rest of the day you spent getting things ready for having to leave tomorrow. You finished packing a few essentials into smaller bags, took your dog to a friend's house, and gave your spare key to the friend that would be checking on your house and watering your plants. You unplugged anything that was unnecessary for the night and triple checked your house to make sure everything was OK to leave it behind for months. It was almost bittersweet looking at everything and thinking about everyone in your town, leaving everything behind so quick, but it would all be worth it. You fell into this relationship quickly, but it felt right. You had never met or been with anybody this sweet, kind, caring or really anything like Jake.

When everything was finished and ready to go, you showered with Jake and got ready for bed. As you slipped into the bed, you both looked at each other and smiled. "I think this is the start of forever" Jake said, kissing you goodnight. "I think so too" you reply cuddling into his chest.

When he thinks you're asleep, he whispers, "I love you" into your hair. When you know he's asleep, you whisper "I love you too"

Opening your eyes slightly, you swear you see a smirk on his lips.
