Charlie and Chase arrived at the hospital within minutes. Charlie tightened the strap of her bag, not wanting to lose Hockey. They immediately ran inside and to the elevators. The running caused Hockey to wake up from his nice slumber, he looked up gave Charlie a meow of disapproval. Charlie shushed him and pushed him back into the bag.

"Wanna give me the rundown?" Charlie asked as Chase hit the button in the elevator. Chase glances at her before looking back at the elevator doors. "I'm not sure what the current problem is, I was only told it was an emergency. Just be prepared. Can I ask you to try to control the parents? They can get a bit overprotective." He explains seriously.

"Parents? How old is this patient?" Charlie questioned. Chase glanced at her expectantly. "Yeah, I'll watch the parents." Charlie sighed. She wasn't the best at comforting, but Chase was asking a favor, and she couldn't just say no.

"Thanks." Chase let out a relived breath, "the patient is 16." Charlie nods in confirmation. Then elevator doors opened, and Chase led Charlie through the hospital to the patient's room. Chase would yell an occasional "Excuse me!" while Charlie stayed quiet, a monotone expression plastered onto her face.

Once they reached the room, Charlie took a quick scan of the room to assess the situation. The patient was a young African American girl with bouncy curls. The young girl was covered in hives and crying out in pain. Charlie assumed the girl was simply having an allergic reaction to something, but the hives and her body language looked off.

Also, she didn't have the same panicked look most patients suffering from an anaphylactic response harbored. She did look scared, but she mainly looked like she was in pain. Her brows were knitted together tightly, and her hand occasionally grasped the sheets of the hospital bed tightly before releasing and going back to her chest. Beads of sweat rolled down her forehead. Furthermore, it didn't make sense that they would call Chase in on an emergency just for an allergic reaction even if it was severe.

As the two doctors entered the room, they saw Dr. Cameron distributing something to the girl via shot. Chase rushed to the patient's bedside and started shouting questions as Cameron set the syringe down. "Cameron, what the hell is going on?" Chase asked Cameron looking between her and the young girl. Charlie hurried over to calm the parents and try to get them to stop yelling.

"What the hell is happening to our daughter?" The father, a 6-foot Caucasian man with a long black beard and wavy black hair, shouted at the doctors. He looked a lot like a Viking and if Charlie had seen him in a bar, she would have definitely tapped that.

'No, Charlie, be professional.' Charlie shook that thought out of her head as she focused on the situation at hand. A nurse along with the patient's mother were already holding him back. Charlie stepped in front of the parents, hopefully taking their attention away from what their daughter was currently going through.

"Sir I need you to calm down. As soon as we figure out what is wrong with your daughter and know how to help her, we will take immediate action to get her stable." Charlie explained while holding her hands up. The man's attention shifted to Charlie, and he started to yell at her instead of Chase and Cameron.

"Who are you to tell me what to do? You're just a random slut, you look nothing like a doctor! They better fix her." He grumbled but stood down as his wife pulled on his arm. It took all of Dr. Sangster's might not threaten him with castration. Yes, she wasn't dressed professionally but his words were completely uncalled for. Knowing he was just worried about his daughter; Charlie managed to simply nod and turn to Cameron and Chase.

Cameron was explaining what had happened. "I only noticed the hives on her abdomen when she started to claw at her chest. She kept saying that she couldn't breathe so I gave her a dose of Methylprednisolone." Cameron explained in a stressed tone while gesturing to the syringe she had just distributed.
