Tella's Pov:
January 11th, 6:00 am:
I woke up feeling unusually heavy like something was pressing down on me. I had spent the entire night twisting and turning, unable to get comfortable. My eyes slowly blinked open, but all I saw was blackness. Groggily, I tried to make sense of it, but then I felt the black. It was soft, warm... and unmistakably someone's hand.
Shit. It was Finn's.
I jolted upright, hoping the sudden movement would wake him, but he remained soundly asleep. His body was scrunched up, legs awkwardly bent, one hand resting on his side, and the other had somehow landed right on my face. How had I not noticed this earlier? I wriggled my way out from under his arm, shifting until I reached the pillow. Poor Finn had been using my legs as his pillow all night. No wonder I'd been so uncomfortable.
I slowly lifted my legs put them down and checked my phone. It was 6. I sighed and placed my hands on my hips trying to figure out what to do. We'd stayed up speaking so late, that we unknowingly fell asleep in the process. How was he supposed to walk back to his room which was on the other side of the campus without being noticed?
I looked at him, his brown hair sprawled over his face and he slept so soundly. I couldn't help but notice he looked like a big baby. I let out a little laugh and looked at him. a little too long. He must've heard me laugh because a minute later, he slowly opened his eyes. He too jolted upright, face extremely flushed.
"Jesus you scared me" he said rubbing his eyes. "what... am I that unpleasant to look at?" I teased. "I mean you were staring at me, with those big eyes, you looked like a ghost for a second. I can't lie" he said giggling. "oh please" I replied rolling my eyes. "what am I still doing here? Did we fall asleep" "We sure did," I said.
"ah okay... well then it's best for me to get back" he said standing and stretching. "wait don't go. I'll give you something to eat. Plus we have a couple more things to talk about" "Wow, already being the perfect girlfriend. Like that act on you Tells." " wow we reached the nickname stage as well" I teased back. We stared at each other with slight smiles on both our faces. I could feel my face go hot before I broke eye contact and turned to make some cereal.
"I'll go wash my face and freshen up. I look like a huge mess I'm sure. Gotta look good for my girl" I let out a small smile. He was nice. I'd misjudged him earlier.
half an hour later
"Thanks for the breakfast. Didn't feel like going to the breakfast hall," Finn said, tying his shoes. "No worries. I was trying to get rid of that cereal anyway," I replied, wiping down the counter."Aight, then. See you tonight," he added casually as he headed for the door. "Wait, why?" I asked, slightly confused.
"You don't go clubbing every Saturday?" He paused, staring at me like I'd just told him I'd never heard of music. "Nope—never leave on the weekends. Not even once," I said, feeling a little sadder than I intended to show. "What?" he exclaimed, a bit too loudly.
