"As you walk on by, will you call my name?"
Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds
CURRENTLY, SEVYN AND Paul were bouncing around the fountain, dancing to some of his rock. She wasn't a huge fan of 80s music, but she couldn't resist dancing with the blond rocker. Bouncing around and headbanging to the beat with him was a thrill in and of itself.
"Oh! I have a song for you guys, it kinda reminds me of you guys," Sevyn called out, dashing over to pause Paul's music - causing him to squawk in protest. She waved a dismissive hand at him before sprinting to her bag that she'd left on the couch.
She rummaged through her purse and pulled out her phone. Marko and Paul immediately gathered around her, eyeing her phone with curiosity. "What's that?" Marko asked.
"It's my cell phone. I have tons of music on here," she explained as she scrolled through her downloaded songs on Spotify. She found what she was looking for and put on "Heathens" by Twenty One Pilots.
As the song played, Paul snatched her phone and started scrolling through all her music, his head nodding along to the song. His eyebrows shot up when he landed on the name of a playlist. "Villain Vibes?" He raised his eyebrows suggestively, causing Sevyn to laugh and blush.
"It's exactly how it sounds," she admitted, leaning over to peek at the screen. "It's all badass songs; not a lot of rock on there, though." Humming thoughtfully, she considered their options before picking her rock playlist.
The two crazy blondes whooped and started dancing around again, head-banging to Coheed and Cambria. They dragged her into their spur-of-the-moment party, and she jumped right back in, laughing.
This continued for a few songs before Sevyn, feeling out of breath, plopped down on the couch with a puff of air. Her cheeks were flushed from all the dancing. She really needed to work on her cardio.
When she looked up, she met Dwayne's gaze. Immediately, she sat up straighter, a wave of nervousness washing over her. Why was he staring at her like that? Self-consciously, she reached up to try and fix her short hair, which she assumed was a mess from her dancing.
Before she could ask, Paul threw himself down on the couch beside her with a wide grin. He reached over and trailed his index finger along her heavily pierced ear, making her shiver. "When did you get your tongue pierced?" he asked.
Sevyn eyed him warily, her cheeks stained pink. "About a year ago after my ex-girlfriend dared me one night while we were wasted," she mumbled, surprised he hadn't said anything before.
She remembered the night in fragments, it was a dumb thing to do while drunk, but she could never be accused of making good decisions. Really, it's the piercer's fault.
Paul stared at her for a moment. "Girlfriend?"
"Yes, girlfriend. Why?" She shot him a warning glare, anticipating a homophobic comment.
"I just thought you were straight," Paul explained.
"I'm bisexual," Sevyn clarified. "And before you start, don't you dare say that bi people are just lying to themselves or are chronic cheaters. That's the most ignorant thing-" She began to rant before he cut her off.
Paul held up his hands playfully. "Didn't even cross my mind. It's cool you know what you want. And honestly," he winked, "it's hella sexy," he crooned with a smirk. "I just worried I didn't have a chance."
