"You're late again," Jeongin called out, not bothering to look up from his laptop.

"Sorry, got held up," Seungmin replied, his voice tinged with exhaustion. He kicked off his shoes and dropped his bag by the door.

Jeongin glanced up, noticing the dark circles under Seungmin's eyes and the rumpled state of his clothes. "Rough day?"

"You could say that," Seungmin mumbled, walking past him into the kitchen. The fridge door opened and shut with a dull thud as he grabbed a bottle of water. He twisted the cap off and took a long, thirsty gulp. Jeongin studied him from the corner of his eye, the familiar ache in his chest swelling. He'd always felt protective of his stepbrother, especially since their parents had died in the car accident. But lately, it had grown into something else entirely. Something that made his stomach flip and his skin feel too tight.

Seungmin leaned against the kitchen counter, his eyes closed as he let the cool water slide down his throat. Jeongin couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to kiss the man who had always been so much more than just a sibling to him. The line between love and obsession was blurring, and he knew he had to tread carefully. He swallowed hard, the dryness in his own mouth not from thirst.

"You okay?" Jeongin finally asked, his voice cracking slightly.

Seungmin's eyes snapped open, a hint of surprise in them. "Yeah, I'm fine." He took another sip of water, his Adam's apple bobbing.

"You don't look it," Jeongin said, setting his laptop aside and standing up. He walked over to Seungmin, his heart racing. "You've been working too hard, and as the CEO, i say you rest up."

Seungmin forced a smile, trying to brush off the concern. "It's nothing new."

But Jeongin wasn't buying it. He stepped closer, reaching out to gently touch Seungmin's arm. "You're not sleeping, are you?"

Seungmin sighed, his body sagging slightly. "I've had better nights," he admitted, avoiding Jeongin's gaze.

"You need to take better care of yourself," Jeongin said, his voice low and filled with genuine worry. "Let me help."

Seungmin's eyes met his, and for a moment, it felt like the air between them was charged with something unspoken. He nodded slightly, his hand trembling as he set the water bottle down. Jeongin took the opportunity to slide his hand down to Seungmin's, giving it a gentle squeeze. The touch sent a jolt of electricity up his arm, and he knew he had to do something before his feelings consumed him entirely.

"Come on," Jeongin said softly, leading Seungmin out of the kitchen. "Let's go to your room. You need to rest."

Seungmin followed, his legs feeling like jelly as he climbed the stairs. Jeongin's hand remained on his back, a comforting presence that seemed to anchor him. Once inside, Seungmin collapsed onto the bed with a groan, his eyes immediately drifting shut. Jeongin hovered for a moment before sitting down next to him, his hand lingering on Seungmin's shoulder.
