The gate - remake

HELLO EVERYONE, I DECIDED TO REMAKE MY FIRST CHAPTER BEFORE WRITING OTHERS, I THINK THAT THE ORIGINAL WAS TOO SHORT AND BORING SO I HOPE THIS ONE IS BETTER BTW PLS LEAVE ONESHOT IDEAS IN THE COMMENTS

It was a normal night in November, wait no it wasn't. Steve and the kids had just arrived back at the byers after setting fire to the tunnels and having a long chaotic drive back. Max wasn't necessarily the worst driver but even after being sane for a bit while setting fire to the tunnels, Steve still wasn't able to chill out while that redhead drove the car, making the drive seen extra-long.

Everyone was sitting down, talking sleeping, whatever but mike however was pacing around the lounge, even after doing his part to help close the gate, he still wasn't at ease. The only thing that was causing this was the fact that the main thing circling his brain was El, he had just gotten her back, he couldn't lose her now.

"Mike" Lucas sighed "I'm sure she's fine, she's strong and we helped her, I'm sure she'll be fine"

"You don't know that what if she comes back hurt, what if she doesn't come back at all" Mike said raising his voice slightly

"Mike, shell be fine" Lucas said as he patted mike on the shoulder and walked away

Suddenly lights shined from the window, Mike ran as fast as he could across the room, but when he realised it was just Joyce, Johnathon, Nancy and will, he sat down and looked out one of the other windows, getting a better view of the driveway.

The driveway remained silent, Mike didn't even look up when everyone else came in, there was still two people missing. Just as he started to walk over to Nancy, he saw more lights appear in the distance, when he read Hawkins police department on the car door he ran and ran as fast as he could out the door and over to hoppers car.

"Is she ok?"

"Did she close it?"

"Just tell me she's ok!"

"Mike, kid Shes fine, just drained" Hopper muttered while he got out the car

Mike watched with horror on his face as hopper got out the car and reached for something in the back seat, he pulled out a sleeping eleven, there was blood, dirt and makeup all over her face.

Els body looked like a lifeless corpse, she looked like a mess, Mike so desperately wanted to run to her and hug her, but he couldn't do that.

A couple of hours later El finally woke up, she cracked her eyes open and sat up on the bed. At first, she was wondering where she was but then it all came back to her, she remembered going back in the car after closing the gate but then she went to sleep, then she remembered being carried into the house, she felt like she couldn't move so no matter how desperate she was to jump of of hoppers arms and hug mike before she got taken inside but that just wasn't possible.

She managed to stand up and walk over to one of the mirrors in the bedroom and realised how bad she looked, there was smudged makeup on her face, dried blood and dirt. She then slowly walked into the bathroom and wiped her face, but then walked back to the bed leaning against the headboard.

After sitting down, she noticed a boy sitting near the other side of the slightly cracked open door, it was mike. She looked at him trying to make him see her and then it worked, he looked at her, smiling and walked into the bedroom.

"El!"

Mike ran to the bed and hugged her, he hugged her as tight as he could until he felt El wrap her arms around him, resting her head on his shoulders.

"Hi mike" El smiled at him

"Are you ok El?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, just really tired but I'll gladly stay awake if it means i can stay with you" 

"I can come and sleep in here if you want... oh uhm uh sorry if that sounded weird i mean-

"Mike its fine, you're probably tired too"

"Wont your dad kill me if I sleep in the same bed as you"

"Don't worry about him, he's not allowed to kill you yet" El laughed "I won't let him anyway so I'm sure we'll be fine"

Mike laid down on the other side of bed and wrapped his arms around El hugging her tight

"Goodnight El"

"El?"

He looked at her only to realise she had already fallen asleep, he had a smile plastered on his face, he felt like all the weight on his shoulders had suddenly disappeared. He was finally happy being able to see the love of his life again.

About an hour later hopper came in to tell El that they had to go back to the cabin but when he saw the sight in front of him the just smiled and shut the door.

OK SO SOMEHOW THIS WAS A BIT SHORTER THEN WHAT I WANTED WHICH WAS A MINIMUN OF 1000 WORDS BUT I THINK ITS BETTER THEN THE OTHER CHAPTER ANYWAY PLEASE PLEASE PLAESE LEAVE ONESHT IDEAS IN THE COMMENTS AND AS USUAL THANKS SO SO SO SO SO MUCH FOR READING
