Chapter 3

All I can hear when I wake up is the loud siren of the ambulance in the moving vehicle and before I know it I'm at the hospital being transported to a room.When I wake up again my family is in the room with me along with lots of doctors and nurses and Riley. The doctor explains that what caused me to collapse was heart failure and I need medications. I'm just thinking to myself How did this happen so quickly? The doctors and nurses file out and Riley gives me a hug goodbye. My mom says "So you know that we were going to go to L.A so you could pursue your dream of being a singer but with you in the hospital we don't know if we are going to go and your father got laid off today so we don't have anyone making money in our household". "Don't you need to pay lots of money to get my heart fixed", I ask. "Well yes so we are trying the best we can to find jobs and the doctors have started a charity to collect donations",She says. The doctor comes in to tell mom that she needs to go. Mom comes over to kiss me goodbye and tells me not to worry but I sure am worrying a lot because what if we don't have enough money to fix my heart and if that's the case who knows what will happen. It turns out that I was sleeping a lot today because it's already time for me to go to bed. It's getting late o I turn my cartoons off and get into bed. When I wake up In the morning the sun is shining and just as I'm starting to enjoy the view out of the small window,the doctor comes in to give my medicine and a SHOT!!! Oh no I HATE those. Worst morning ever😭😭😭😭😭 I turn on my favorite show The Voice and dream of being on the show soon. Everyone knows that and now all of my nurses and doctors know too!! My favorite nurse comes to talk to me about a program called A Wish. She says "This program is for very sick kids in the hospital who get to go do or get anything they want". "Do I get to do that", I ask her. Yes she replies back to me. I want to be on the voice I tell her as I continue to watch my tv show carefully and she says "I thought that would be what you wanted"!
