BACK AT THE F.B.I BUILDING, DEREK, SPENCER, Valentina, Hotch and Gideon were all in a room discussing, Derek was pacing, Spencer was spinning on a spinny chair and Valentina was scratching at her brain. Hotch was listening to them and Gideon was staring at evidence."Okay. Then how about the fact that on one hand we have paranoid psychosis, but the autopsy protocol says what?" Derek asked, throwing a baseball up and down as he paced back and forth.
Spencer, who was spinning in his chair spoke up, "Adhesive residue shows he put layer after layer of duct tape over his victims' eyes."
"He knows he wants to kill them, but he still covers their eyes." Derek said, "He doesn't want them looking at him."
"Paranoid." Hotch said, nodding slightly.
As Valentina drowned out the speaking, the door opening blew her out of her world as Derek stared at it confused, "Were ready?!"
"What's going on?" Valentina looking at the others, Spencer was now leaning against the table instead of spinning.
"He's ready for a profile report apparently." Spencer shrugged slightly.
"Oh." Valentina nodded, running her hands down her face.
"Reid, you good with this?" Derek asked his friend, gesturing to the door Gideon just walked out of, "We got a woman who's only got a few hours left to live, an incomplete profile and a unit chief who's in the verge of a nervous breakdown."
As Derek talked about Gideon, the door opened and he walked in, making Valentina's eyes go wide. Gideon picked up his glasses from the table, "They don't call them nervous breakdowns any more." Then he walked out.
"It's called a Major Depressive Episode." Valentina sighed, taking her hair out of her ponytail, letting her curls fall to her shoulders, releasing the pressure from her head.
"I know, Tina." Derek sighed.
Valentina's phone started ringing and she picked it up, stepping over to the side of the room, "Hello? Who is this?"
No answer.
"Hello?" Valentina asked again. Breathing echoed down the phone, it crept her out beyond belief, "Who is this?"
"Come on, pretty girl..." The male voice echoed and Valentina looked up, realising exactly who it was, "Don't you remember me? That makes me sad."
"If this is some kind of joke, stop." Valentina said sternly, catching the attention of the others to which she turned her back to.
"You know fine well it isn't a joke." The man said angrily, "I came to your house today, you weren't there. Where are you?"
"Why would I tell you? I left for a reason." Valentina snapped quietly, making the man chuckle.
"Poor baby. I will find you, one way or another and I will bring you home." The man threatened before the line went dead.
Valentina's hand slowly lowered from her ear, she was scared to look at the name tag, she'd just gotten away, she didn't want to go back. She couldn't. When she finally saw it, her heart dropped to her stomach, David.
Valentina walked past the boys, pushing the door open and walking out. She quickly walked to the bathroom where she leaned over a sink, the memories of that house coming back.
"I hate you!" Valentina screamed at her boyfriend as he drank another sip of his alcohol. David stopped mid way, turning to look at the Spanish woman before throwing his glass at her, it barely missed her, hitting the wall behind.
"How dare you! After all I've done for you!" David screamed advancing closer until Valentina's back hit the wall. David towered over her, his hand wrapping around her neck, cutting off air.
"D-David-" Valentina choked, trying to pry his wrist and hand away from her.
"Don't ever disrespect me again... do you understand?" David asked angrily and Valentina nodded, when David backed away, she fell to her knees, gasping and coughing for air.
Valentina stared up at her boyfriend with a scared look on her face, she'd never seen him like this before.
...
Valentina struggled against David's grip if the back of her neck as he dragged her upstairs.
"I told you what would happen if you went against me." David growled as they entered the bathroom. Valentina understood the situation at the filled bathtub and did everything to break away yet nothing worked.
David shoved Valentina's head down and under the water, she thrashed about as David held her under, not allowing her to come up for air.
Valentina started panicking, breathing in the water and choking on it. Everything became fuzzy, dark, quiet. The pressure on her neck was gone, yet she couldn't move.
Valentina coughed as someone pulled her out, bringing her back to her senses, JJ held her firmly, not caring about her clothes getting soaked.
Hotch stood at the bathroom door, a gun in his hand as he stared down at the Spanish girl in shock, "Valentina..."
He helped her to her feet but she was too weak to hold herself up, Hotch caught her as her legs gave out, scooping her up and taking her out the house and to the ambulance.
Valentina wouldn't have gotten out of that household if it wasn't for JJ and Hotch, she probably would still be there, or... well, y'know.
Valentina dialled her number, holding the phone to her ear, "Come on J, please."
"Hey V, what can I do for you?" JJ's sweet voice echoed down the phone line.
"He called me, JJ. He found my home, he's looking for me." Valentina's voice shook as the JJ heard her friend's scared tone.
"Uh, okay. Tell Hotch and leave it with me, I'll deal with it. Get back in the case and breathe, you'll be okay." JJ sighed down the phone.
"Okay. Love you, J." Valentina sighed before hanging up, she wiped her face down and fixed her hair before walking out the bathroom and back into the room where Hotch, Spencer and Derek all were still in.
"Hotch... I need to talk with you. It's important." Valentina sighed. Hotch glanced at the two other boys and they got the memo, leaving the room and the door shut behind them.
"What's wrong?" Hotch asked, noticing the scared demeanour on Valentina's face.
"He's back. And looking for me." Valentina only had to say those words before Hotch understood.
"You're not going home when we get back. Is there somewhere you can go?" Hotch asked the Spanish girl softly.
Valentina nodded, "Spencer says I can stay at his anytime since he enjoys my company."
"You know, he'll want to know what's going on." Hotch sighed, leaning back in his chair.
Valentina nodded, "I'll tell him, when the times right." She poked her head out the door, telling the other two that they could come back in, which they did as they waited for Gideon.
