She awoke to Sam patting her arm.
She jerked and looked at him and sighed. "Well you're like my personal alarm."
He looked at her and smiled. "Indeed I am."
Her eyes immediately began to try to adjust to the bright sunlight that was shining through her tall, pink, sheer window drapes. She begun to rub her eyes and lift up on the bed. Sam stood there with his arms crossed.
She looked at him and said, "Silly you've woken me up you can leave now."
He looked at her and laughed and walked over to her closet. He opened the huge, brown 2 door closets and stood there looking while letting out a long sigh. He said, "You know today is the day of the annual fair. What are you going to wear? Her eyes flew completely open.
She took a deep breath and said, "I totally forgot, oh my gosh!" As she practically jumped off the bed. He turned around and told her to relax.
She looked at him and said, "One does not simply relax when there is such a big event like this about to take place."
She grabbed her yellow sparkly going out dress. She ran to her master bathroom. Sam looked at her surprised while she was freaking out.
As she entered the bathroom she let out a giggle and sighed. She said through the door to Sam. "I'm going to have so much fun."
He smiled and laid back on the bed with his hands behind is head. He looked at the bathroom door then at the ceiling and just relaxed. Maria rushed her morning routine so she could get downstairs and eat a hearty breakfast that would probably consist of crunch berries. She put on her dress and looked at herself in the mirror. She realized her face was brighter.
She felt happier, she felt herself. She rubbed her hands through her long brunette hair and watched it fall. She opened the bathroom door and the smell of breakfast cooking hit her in the face.
Sam looked at her and smiled "You look really nice Maria, like always."
She looked down and smiled and said, "Thanks Sam, and you complimented me, like always."
She walked over to the bed and said, "Let's eat something." He agreed and they walked out of her room. She walked down her long spiral stairs while rubbing her hand down the banister. Sam followed behind her.
She walked into her kitchen and saw her mother cooking as usual. Yacoob ran up to her and showed her his iron man toy. Maria walked over to him and smiled and said, "That is adorable, I love it." Yacoob looked at her and smiled. She kissed him on the forehead.
Her parents greeted Sam and asked him did he sleep well. Then they both turned to Maria and asked her, "Did you sleep well after last night." They gave her the "I'm covering this up for you because our child do not know" look.
She looked at Sam and grinned and said, "Yes I slept well. In fact I slept like a baby. I slept even better with Sam there."
He looked up from his phone and smiled she smiled as well. She rubbed her hair through her long brunette hair and looked down and blushed. Her mother begun to put their breakfast on the table. It consisted of sausages, eggs, and pancakes that were drizzled in syrup.
Maria sighed and said, "Well I won't be eating my crunch berries, she smiled and said "I'll be eating this instead, I'm glad."
Sam laughed aloud while looking at his phone. Maria begun to eat her breakfast happily. She felt so happy today and she was thankful to God that she did. This was the first days of many days she want to actually feel herself.
But she began to think thought about him. She wondered where he went. She hadn't really thought about him since last night right before she forced herself not to. Her heart begun to feel eerie. It felt like it did when she was practically being dragged to that mansion in the woods. Was she connected to him somehow?
He awoke to the sound of his huge front door closing. He knew his parents had arrived. He lifted up on his bed. He stared ahead at his dark red wall in front of him. He felt very different he did not feel like he did yesterday.
Yesterday he felt happy inside. It was as if a part of him was missing now. He thought about her and wondered if she was the cause of it. He felt so happy yesterday when she came to his home...but now his insides were empty.
He let out a huge sigh and lifted up off his California king size bed. He pushed his velvet, black covers off of him. He thought to himself that sometimes his room reminded him of Dracula's room. He wasn't sure why his room was so dark looking. It wasn't a depressed feeling room but it was rather dark and drearier than most young men's room.
He walked over to his window and looked outside. All he saw was trees. He sometimes wished he lived around people. He wished he could have had friends like most young teenagers his age. He wished he had a best friend like she had. He wish she was his best friend instead of the one she already had. He clinched his fist and he begun to think.
He could not let that side of him come out. He could not ruin this like he had done many others. He turned away from his window. He rubbed his hands through his dark, jet black hair. He walked over to his phone and saw there was a message from his mother. He put the phone down and decided he would reply to that after awhile.
He walked toward his bedroom door but before he did that he passed by his tall dark red mirror. He looked at himself. He noticed his features were rather brooding. He had dark brown eyes and wavy jet black hair that had loose short curls in it. He always had a sort of serious look to him. He had a lightly trimmed beard and mustache that was jet black made him look like he was 30 instead of 18. He had a straight pointed nose.
He looked at his clothes then his body and saw how tall he was. He took on his height after his father which made him 6'9 .
He let out a sigh and tried to think of the happier times before all of this. When his dad used to show him how fast he could move in the Shailhaven woods years ago. His father told him, "You just have to dream that you can do it Trocox, just dream." Trocox was about 10 at this time and he was very frustrated because he couldn't just "dream", when he tried nothing would happen.
Finally one day they decided to go out and try it again. His father Pueehn held onto his shoulder and leaned down in sort of a threat position. He looked Trocox in the eye and said. "I love you son. Do it for me. Do it for..." Before he could get the rest out Trocox had sped about 3 miles away from him.
His father focused on his son and realized he was on the ground among the grass and trees laughing and saying, "I did it dad, I did it!"
His father zoomed up to him and rubbed his hands through his medium length jet black hair to move it away from his face.
"See son, all you have to do is dream and believe in yourself. You must believe in yourself." He continued "I've taught you one of the many ways of being our race. There is plenty more to learn but we have all the time in the world to do so son."
Trocox looked at his dad and smiled and they both walked out of the woods back to their home. The home that he never seemed to leave.
Trocox mind came back to present time and he realized his mother was knocking at his door. He answered it and realized she was asking him to come for breakfast. He rubbed his hands through his dark hair while looking down and said, "I'm coming."
