"I'm not going to New York"Emma crossed her hands over her chest. There was absolutely no way she was traveling across the world for this stupid mission.
"It wasn't a request"
In front of her sat Alexander Pierce, the leader of Hydra. He looked tired, Emma knew he had been overworking himself recently but that wasn't enough to sway her thinking.
"Can't you send someone else?! Gypsie-"
"Gypsie is injured. You can either go to New York or you can stay here and do dodge training with Rogue. The choice is yours princess" He sounded so done with this conversation as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
Her options weren't great, she could go to New York and complete this stupid mission for him even though New York wasn't her territory, or she could do dodge training...
Dodge training was the absolute worst so they both already knew her answer.
"Fine" she sighed, turning on her heel to leave the room.
Emma marched down the hallway, pushing other agents aside with enough force to send them falling to the ground. She didn't stop to apologize or help them, she was too frustrated.
"Careful princess."
Emma turned around at the sound of the voice. Behind her was Brock Rumlow, Pierce's little servant. Emma rolled her eyes at him and kept walking until she reached the living quarters.
It was a pretty large room with thirteen beds for the thirteen children of Hydra. The thirteen children were known as the Hydra champions. One child from each of the main thirteen bases around the world.
Emma, or more commonly known to most people as Princess, was supposed to be at her Russian base.
But since Gypsie, who was in charge of the United States, had managed to get himself shot on a recent mission, Emma was needed to fill his position for the time being.
"You good Princess?" asked Tiger, who was sharpening knives on his bed.
"I'm being sent to New York in the morning," she huffed, throwing herself onto the bed in between Moonlight and Kitkat.
Gypsie let out a snort at the fact that Emma was going to be the one replacing him.
Nobody liked going to the United States due to the Avengers. Being closer to the Avengers meant having to be more careful with missions. Gypsie was assigned to the USA since he was one of the oldest but Emma wasn't the second oldest or even the third for that matter. So it made no sense to her why the hell Pierce had chosen her for this mission.
Moonlight, who was sitting up in the bed to her left, gave her an apologetic smile. Moonlight was probably one of Emma's favorites out of the thirteen. She belonged to the Hydra base in China but she would always check in with Emma when she could.
"This is all your fault," she said to Gypsie, it was very clear she was annoyed. They didn't know why Emma was so upset about this but they knew she had her reasons.
"Not my fault I got shot" defended Gypsie. Emma was about to say something sassy in return but instead, she decided to just suffocate herself by placing the pillow on her face.
This was her life. The Hydra champions were chosen when Pierce first became leader. Emma had only been one at the time but for the last fifteen years, she's been trained in almost every form of combat known to man. The Hydra champions were the ones who performed missions for Hydra. Each child was in charge of doing missions in their own country, with exceptions. One of those exceptions being getting injuries.
