His Chains( Voldemort/Lucius Malfoy/ Severus Snape)

Chapter 23

The rest of the day the entire Malfoy mansion was silent where you could hear a pin drop.

Voldemort sat in his study holding a glass of firewhiskey in his hand thinking about how he treated the girl. He cared for her, but his image is what mattered the most to him. This is what he dedicated his life to, becoming the Dark Lord. Last thing he needs is his followers questioning him and where he stands.

"My lord." Severus says looking at the disheveled Voldemort. He has never seen him get like this even over Harry Potter and that's the boy who killed him.

"What is it?" Voldemort is clearly not in the mood to talk.

"The girl, where do we go from here? Is there anything specific you may want me to do in the meanwhile?"

"I will have a talk with her."He whispers lowly.

"A talk with her alone? Would that be wise?" Severus counsels him.

"No one will know about this." He sternly says looking up at Severus.

"Of course My Lord. I am sure you have things planned on how to get in control of her again."

"I do."

*Meanwhile at the lake house* I changed the interior of the house to how a modern house would be in 2024. The style was glamor, goth and chic. If someone could imagine a bubbly goth this would be their ideal setting with a modern simplicity twist.

It's now later in the evening and I only see Severus twice a week now for potions. Voldemort I see four times a week. This has been the schedule for the past week. I go back in the kitchen to see finally the chicken parmigiana is done in the oven and I take it out. I finish setting up the table with salad, bread, water, choice of champagne and the main meal in the center. I then go to the front door to see Lucius walking in looking around at the decor. I smile and walk up to him.

"Interesting." He comments looking around at all the crystals and decor which would make up a modern witch shop.

"I know probably not your taste but I am the one who lives here. Come." I say smiling at him and pulls him by the hand into the kitchen which opens up into the dining area.

"You cooked?" He asks uneasy thinking it's below me to cook and not have a house elf do it.

I roll my eyes at him and answers," yes I cooked and I bet it will be the best cooking that will ever get to melt in your mouth!"

"We shall see about that." He comments while still staring around at the decor and suddenly hears a meow.

He looks down to see a small black kitten staring up at him with green eyes.

"Oh I see you met Shadow, I got her a week ago. She is good company."

Lucius looks down disturbed as he finds animals filthy; he never let Draco have any.

"Where did you get the supplies to make everything?" He asks, sitting down curious.

"I went to the local town. They are very kind, the "muggles"." I comment and sit down across from him.

He looks at me while taking a sip of the red wine on the table. He didn't want to comment about the muggles because he knew the conversation would not go well considering he can tell blood status doesn't matter to her. Which she will find out soon is going to be a massive issue with all the death eaters.

I watched him thinking, then I served him the rest of the food and watched him take a bite of the chicken parmigiana. I see the surprise expression on his face.

"Who taught you to cook?" He inquired while eating.

"I did, I taught myself how to do many things."

"You are very talented, however, are you sure you wouldn't want a house elf to assist you in some tasks so you have more free time?" He offers kindly.

"I am sure I can hold and handle my own Lucius."

He nods and we both continue to eat.

After dinner I start cleaning up the table and I see Lucius wince a bit watching me.

"Does it bother you that I do everything by myself?"

"Yes, especially when you can have it taken care of. You can have a house elf of your own so you don't have to lower yourself to such standards." He remarks.

"Or do you mean this?" I ask him and snap my fingers as magically the table was cleaned as though the table was never touched.
