FATIMA

After everything that happened in the past 72 hours it was a lot going on. We have decided to let the kids finish out the week before they get withdrawn from physical school and were attending virtual. I can't risk their safety after what happened to Tempo. He's been attached to me and my husband since everything happened. I have two Velcro kids now. I'm not complaining but sometimes I need to breathe. That doesn't make it any better we are going to add two more babies to mix. I have been pumping and bringing milk to the NICU for them. I also have some frozen in a freezer stash.

Tempo and Musiq go to Mimi while the kids go to school. We make sure the kids have their bracelets on at all times because they are life savers.

It was an early morning and the kids were already up and ready to go. Today was just going to be me dropping the kids off because Zac had to flight to Atlanta for the day for something dealing with producing. I wasn't really listening I was too focused on the three year old and six year old clung to my side. He should be back before the kids get out of school.

"Rhy, B, Mel and Jazz let's go. Have your book bags ready make sure you have your folders for the paperwork your teachers are going to assign for the rest of the week and turn any work you didn't turn in." I said to them as my toddler that is almost 4 feet at the age of 3 wants to be picked up.

"Me up pease." Musiq said as he signed. Who was I to say no to my baby. I picked him up and put him on my hip. I grabbed Tempo's hand.

"Okay let's roll out. Last day of school." I said to them and I don't know if they were excited or not. We loaded up in the truck and I let Jazz sit in the front with me.

"Y'all have everything?" I asked as I got in the driver seat.

"Yes." They said back. The vibe felt drained. It wasn't like they were excited to go to school.

"Okay before I drive out the driveway, I just want to know that what we experienced was scary but we are going to make the best of this last day. I want y'all to have an amazing day. Make sure you hug your friends tight because I don't know when y'all are coming back to school." I said to them as I blew out a breath. I was getting a little nervous about letting them back into the school after everything happened.

I dropped Tempo and Musiq off at Mimi's before we made it to Jazz's high-school.

"Remember this could only be temporary Jazzy, you are going to do good! I love you and be safe please." I said to him and I gave him a kiss on the forehead.

"I will and I love you too Mommy." He said with a smile as he made his way to the school.

"Okay the likkle three musketeers, let's get y'all to school so I can go check on your brother and sister at the hospital." I said to them as I pulled away from the school.

We made it to the elementary and I parked the car. "Okay Musical Krew, let's get in the building before yall be late." I said to them as I opened the back truck door. We walked into the office and I signed them in. We said our affirmation and I gave them options for their goodbyes.

"Okay we are going to do youngest to oldest. Melody what do you want, hug, kiss or high five?" I asked her. "A hug is always given no matter what you pick. So if you choose hug you get a longer hug."

"I want a kiss mommy." She said and I gave her a kiss and I hugged her tightly. She stood to the side to wait on her brothers.

"Okay same thing Bluez." I said to him and he picked hugged so I gave him a hug and we swayed for a bit before I ended up giving him a kiss on the forehead.
