"There you go." Ellis would help me off the truck—even though I said it was fine—he would place me down onto the floor gently before looking over to the stranger which is currently getting checked by Kristi. "I'm gonna go see if Kenny found your dad and the people from the RV." I say up to Ellis. He nods and I start walking towards the ditch where I'm met with an RV on its side. "Be careful." He says before I make it to the edge. "Alright." I say back before carefully beginning to descend down.

"Shit." I sigh deeply as I see the RV more up and close. "Sheriff Stevens." I say as I see the sheriff standing next to a brunette girl, she looks like a teenager.

Poor thing. "Hey." I say softly to the frightened girl. I look up to Boyd and nod, saying it's okay to leave her with me. "Hey, you're gonna be okay now. We have a medic here who will help you with anything that is painful."

"No—I-I-I just want to see if my family's okay."

"I know, but don't worry we're gonna help them out if there sand immediately see if their alright. Okay?" It takes her a few seconds before she nods. "Okay I'll stay here with you while you wait, is that okay?" She nods again, "Yeah..."

After a little while, Ellis and Kenny manage to get the girls mother out the RV. "Mom?" The girl immediately stands up to hug her weak mother.

I see Ellis go to the entrance to the RV and I go to follow. "Hey." I call out for him just as he's about to climb on top of the RV to get through the door. "Hey."

"How is everyone else in there?" I cross my arms. "The little boy...he's stuck—"

"Shit." I breathe out. "How stuck." Ellis takes a few seconds to answer, "He has a rod through his leg—"

"Fuck." I run my hands down my face and Ellis tries to steady me and face him, "Hey, hey, hey, it's nothing Kristi can't fix." He presses a kiss on the top of my head before saying he had to go back inside to help the dad out next. I nod and go back to the mother and daughter who look at Kenny with a confused face.

"What do you mean we have to leave—my little boy and husband is still in there."

"I know—" I place my hand on Kenny's shoulder before stepping forward. "I know every instinct in you body is telling you to stay. But I also know that Kenny here has already told you these woods aren't safe when the sun goes down. I need you—" The woman would suddenly lose her balance and almost go down. Thankfully Ellis and Kenny quickly came over and slowly walked her over to a large log.
