(I repeat, I write clean. OK? So don't worry, all ye minors)
After we leave the beach, Fitz leaps me home. I clutch his hand tightly, my head resting on his shoulder.
We reach Everglen, and everyone is there. Keefe and Marella are making out in the corner, while Linh and Dex- holding hands- play a game with Biana and Tam. Wylie, Maruca, and Stina stand watching them, laughing.Fitz pulls me over to the banquet table, where Grady, Edaline, Alden, Della, the bodyguards, and some other grown-ups plus the collective are seated.
"You took long," Grady remarked as he leaned over to us, raising a brow.
Edaline smacked his arm, "JUST IN TIME, you mean,"
Grady shrugged with a slightly disgruntled look on his face and continued his conversation with Alden.
Fitz scoops some weird looking purple slimy goop onto my plate alongside some umber leaves. I grimace, but as I've learned my lesson, I take a big bite. Fitz grins as my eyes light up. It tastes like pizza fresh out of the oven.
"Ummmmmm, that's good," I shovel more into my mouth.
Biana and Tam head over to us, "It's official then?" Tam asks, eyebrows raised till his hairline.
"Uh duh," Fitz laughs.
I smile and finish my food. Fitz taps my shoulder and heads over to the bonfire, gesturing for me to come over.
I clear my plate and hurry over. Fitz hands me a toasting fork and drapes an arm around my shoulder. I spear some nuts and marshmallow looking things and try to avoid looking at the multicoloured sparks, which I have to say, I still have a massive phobia of.
After downing a few sticks of the sweet kebabs, I wipe my mouth and feel bored: the rest are still playing that game, and I really don't wanna join in.
Fitz seems to sense my boredom and chimes in, "Wanna go to my room?"
I don't know why I felt so nervous, I've been in his room alone with him before, and vice versa with me. So I nod my head and, with his hand around mine, trudge up the stairs and through the extensive hallways.
He pushes open his door and sees me in to it like I'm a lady. I have to giggle. Then he shuts the door and flops on his bed.
"You were bored, I take it?" He yawns, stretching out as I sit on the plush carpet. I tell him, yeah. I spy Mr Snuggles hidden amongst the sheets and dive at him.
I hold it up triumphantly like the evidence at a crime scene, "You? A regent? With a stuffed toy?!"
He rolls his eyes, "You? A regent? With a stuffed toy, too?" He gestures wildly.
Then I remember Ella. Theeen, I blush. Theeeeeen, I collapse into his arms in laughter.
Only then do I realise that we're super close, again, but on his bed. I squirm a bit. He holds me in place and whispers, "Don't you trust me?"
My heart jerks at the familiar phrase. And I whisper back, "Yes,"
He smiles faintly, "Then trust this,"
He brings his mouth to mine again, and I gasp as his hands grasp my back, pulling me closer though there isn't any space left between us. His hand travels to my hair, and our lips lock. The lights suddenly dim in his room, and a faint pink glow emits around the room. I pull away, and his grip tightens around my waist.
"What's that..?" I murmur, my eyes closing unwillingly.
Fitz's grip softens, "Legend says, its the magic of Stardust Beach. It's said to bless us with everlasting, passionate love and desire..."
We stay silent, our eyes boring deep into each other's... and we share a thousand words in a few moments of deep understanding.
He faces me, eyes sick with desire. I smile and pull back into the kiss as our mouth moves in sync once again.*** * ....*<uh y'all I actually dk what to do next so don't mind this time skip>*....***
"Sophie," a voice says, rousing me from my slumber,"Sophie...?"
I turn and tug at the covers, my eyes opening. I see a sparkly red snout shoved right up my face- and I jump momentarily. It takes a second for me to register where I am. Everglen. Fitz's room - but on the floor on a fluffy mattress.
I smirk, push Mr Snuggles away from me and pulling Fitz next to me.
"Good morning," he says in a singsong voice.
"Oh my god, does anyone know we've been up here alone in your room?" I ask nervously.
"Uh no," Fitz nonchalantly replied, "even if they did, I wouldn't really care, and they wouldn't either,"
He flashed a badboy smirk, although I still have to say, "Grady and Edaline would..."
"They left yesterday. They didn't worry, did they?" He frowned, sitting next to me.
"Well... " I said, "Let's go down for breakfast."
As I walk out into the hall, Biana appears suddenly and puts a hand on my chest, halting me.
I squeeze my eyes shut and brace for the worst.
"Hold it, Mrs Vacker," she squints judgementally, "You can not step out of this room wearing Fitz's shirt. At least, if you wanna keep it low-key, then no, you can't,"
Fitz stifles a laugh while Biana yanks my arm and whisks me into her room.
She sets me down on her overstuffed and extremely glittery pink and blue bed. She opens her closet and pulls out a fitted sleeveless red tunic, a white ruffled undershirt, white tights, and some short black boots. Classic.
"You can just say you've been in my room," she smiles, handing me the clothes.
I gratefully thank her and strip off Fitz's clothes. I pull on the shirt and tunic over my head and pull up the tights.
Afterwards, I flop onto her bed, sinking down into the extra plush mattress.
"What did you and Tam do yesterday?" I smirk at her. I fiddle with the ruffles on the shirt, grimacing slightly at it. I guess I'm more tolerable now.
She blushes, "You don't needa know..." she looks away.
I raise my brows expectantly.
She stares at me pleadingly.
I hold my gaze.
She gives in with a sigh and flops back next to me.
She opens her mouth to tell me.
