Y/N's heart raced as she stared at the chilling message on her phone screen. The words seemed to pulse with an ominous energy, the unknown sender sending shivers down her spine. She felt exposed, vulnerable in a world that was growing increasingly dangerous.

You're running out of time, Y/N. He won't be able to save you next time.

Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to calm down. Panic wouldn't help her now. She needed to think clearly, to find a way to protect herself.

She glanced back toward Jungkook's office, the door closed, a barrier between them. Despite everything, her heart ached at the thought of him inside, probably feeling as lost as she did. But she had no time to dwell on that now.

She quickly turned and made her way down the dimly lit corridor, trying to keep her breathing steady. She had to find Taehyung; she needed answers. Y/N knew that he was involved in this mess—she could feel it in her bones.

As she approached Taehyung's office, her mind raced with the possibilities. What if he had more information about the message? Or even about the ongoing threats? She reached the door and knocked, the sound echoing in the silence.

"Come in," came Taehyung's voice, deep and inviting.

Y/N opened the door and stepped inside, closing it behind her. The room was bright, illuminated by the light streaming in from the large window, but it felt stifling to her. Taehyung was seated at his desk, a laptop open in front of him, his expression shifting from casual to serious as he noticed her tense demeanor.

"What's wrong?" he asked, leaning back in his chair, concern etched across his features.

Y/N hesitated, her heart pounding as she pulled out her phone and showed him the message. "I received this just now. I don't know who sent it, but it feels like a threat."

Taehyung's brow furrowed as he read the words, his eyes narrowing in contemplation. "This is serious. We need to be careful." He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk, his tone turning grave. "Did you tell Jungkook about this?"

"I just came from him," Y/N admitted, frustration seeping into her voice. "He's being distant, pushing me away again. I feel like he doesn't trust me, and I don't know how to break through to him."

Taehyung studied her for a moment, his gaze steady. "Jungkook has his reasons for acting the way he does. This world... it changes people, especially those in his position. He's just trying to keep you safe."

"Safe?" Y/N scoffed, anger flaring inside her. "Keeping me in the dark isn't keeping me safe! I want to be part of this, to help him, but he won't let me in."

Taehyung sighed, his expression softening as he looked at her. "I know it's frustrating. But you have to understand that he's seen things you can't imagine. He's protecting you from a world that can be ruthless and unforgiving."

Y/N crossed her arms, the weight of her frustration still heavy on her shoulders. "But I'm already in this, Minho! I can't just sit back and watch as things unfold around me. If he thinks he can handle this alone, he's wrong."

"Maybe he's just scared," Taehyung replied, his voice low. "Scared of losing you."

Her heart skipped a beat at his words, a mix of confusion and longing flooding through her. Could it be true? Did Jungkook really care that much? "I... I don't know," she admitted, feeling vulnerable.

"Listen," Taehyung said, leaning closer. "I can help you get through to him. He needs you now more than ever, especially with the threats looming over us. But you need to trust him too, even if it's hard."

Y/N looked into Taehyung 's eyes, searching for sincerity, and found it. "Okay," she said finally. "But we have to find a way to deal with this message. I can't just ignore it."

Taehyung nodded, determination flickering in his gaze. "You're right. Let's start by tracing the number. Maybe we can find out who sent it and what they want."

They quickly got to work, Taehyung guiding her through the process. As they pored over the message, Y/N felt a sense of urgency gripping her. The clock was ticking, and she needed to act fast.

Minutes turned into hours as they tried to uncover the mystery behind the message. Y/N's mind raced with the possibilities, her heart pounding as each moment stretched out before them. The longer they worked, the more she could feel the weight of the situation pressing down on her.

Suddenly, Taehyung's expression changed, and he sat up straighter. "I think I've got something," he said, his fingers flying over the keyboard.

"What is it?" Y/N asked, leaning closer, her breath catching in her throat.

He turned the screen toward her, showing her the information he had uncovered. "The number is registered to a location not far from here—about twenty minutes away. It could be a lead."

Y/N's heart raced. "We have to go there. Maybe we can find out who's behind this."

"Wait," Taehyung said, holding up a hand. "We need to be careful. If this is dangerous, we can't just walk in without a plan."

"I understand," Y/N replied, determination flooding her voice. "But we can't waste time. Whoever sent that message is out there, and I refuse to be their target."

"Okay, let's do this then," Taehyung said, grabbing his jacket. "But we stick together, no matter what happens."

As they left the office, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling that something was about to change—something she couldn't yet comprehend. She glanced back at Taehyung, who seemed focused, ready for whatever lay ahead.

Just as they stepped into the parking lot, Y/N's phone buzzed again. She pulled it out, her heart dropping as she read the new message.

Unknown Number: I hope you're ready for the truth. Because it's coming for you, and you won't be able to escape.
