Y/N's blood ran cold as Minho's smirk lingered in the dimly lit room. The air was thick with tension, and her mind scrambled to process what was happening. Minho had found them, and there was nowhere to run. The safe house that was supposed to keep them hidden now felt like a cage, closing in on them.

Jungkook's stance shifted, every muscle in his body tensing. His protective nature was on full display, his eyes dark with barely contained fury. Taehyung, standing slightly behind him, clenched the pipe in his hands so tightly his knuckles turned white.

But it was Minho's gaze that made Y/N's skin crawl. His eyes glinted with a dangerous mix of amusement and something darker—possession. He wasn't just there for her. He wanted to prove something, to show her and everyone else that he was in control.

"You've been running for a while," Minho said, his voice low, each word dripping with arrogance. "But you should know by now—you can't escape me."

Y/N swallowed hard, trying to gather her thoughts, but her mind was racing. She needed to keep it together, to not show any fear. But the weight of Minho's betrayal, the danger that now surrounded them, was suffocating.

Jungkook stepped forward, placing himself slightly in front of Y/N, as if shielding her from Minho's presence. "What do you want, Minho?" His voice was cold, a barely-contained growl. The icy demeanor he'd shown to Y/N now turned into a weapon, aimed directly at Minho.

Minho chuckled darkly, his eyes flicking between the three of them. "Isn't it obvious? I came to collect what's mine."

At that, Y/N's stomach twisted. "What's yours?" she whispered, incredulous. The very idea made her nauseous. She was not an object to be claimed.

Minho's eyes snapped to hers, his expression softening in a twisted way, like a predator feigning concern for its prey. "Y/N, don't act like you didn't know this was coming. I've been patient... far too patient."

Y/N's breath caught. The weight of his words was suffocating, reminding her of the constant manipulation she had endured before. He had always been controlling, but this... this was different. This was dangerous.

Before she could speak, Jungkook's hand shot out, grabbing Minho by the collar and shoving him against the wall. The impact echoed in the small space, and for a moment, everything seemed to stand still.

"Get your hands off her," Jungkook snarled, his voice low and threatening. The anger that had been simmering in him for so long finally exploded.

Minho didn't flinch, though. Instead, he laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "Look at you, pretending like you care. But we both know you're no better than me."

Jungkook's grip tightened, and for a second, it looked like he might lose control completely. His jaw was clenched, and his breathing was heavy as he glared at Minho. Y/N could see the storm brewing behind his eyes—the rage, the hurt, and something deeper, something she didn't quite understand.

"Jungkook," Taehyung's voice cut through the tension. "Don't do it. He's not worth it."

Jungkook's muscles tensed even more, but after a few agonizing moments, he released Minho, shoving him away with a final snarl. Minho stumbled but quickly regained his composure, brushing off his shirt like nothing had happened.

"You can't protect her forever, Jungkook," Minho said, his voice dripping with venom. "Sooner or later, she'll see what you really are."

Y/N felt her heart drop. There was something in Minho's words, something that sent a chill down her spine. But before she could question it, Jungkook turned to her, his expression hard, but his eyes were soft in a way she hadn't seen before.

"I won't let him take you," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. It was a promise, one that carried the weight of everything he hadn't said before.

But the words were barely out of his mouth when Minho's laugh echoed again, filling the room with a sinister edge. "You really think you can stop me?" Minho sneered. "You've always been too emotional, Jungkook. That's why you'll lose."

Y/N's gaze flickered to Jungkook, who stood rigid, his fists clenched. She could see the conflict in his eyes. The cold, distant mask he always wore was starting to crack. He had treated her so badly, ignored her, acted as if she were nothing more than a burden—but now, seeing the way he looked at her, Y/N realized there was more behind the cold facade.

Minho stepped closer, his gaze never leaving Y/N. "You think you can hide from the truth? That you can just run away with them?" His voice lowered, and the malice in it made her stomach churn. "You're mine, Y/N. You always have been."

"No," she said, her voice stronger than she felt. "I'm not yours, Minho. I never was."

For a moment, the mask of calm on Minho's face slipped, revealing the true anger underneath. But before he could respond, a sudden crash echoed from upstairs. The sound of footsteps, hurried and frantic, followed, and Y/N's heart leaped into her throat.

"Get down!" Jungkook shouted, pulling Y/N toward him as Taehyung grabbed the nearest weapon—a small knife from the table.

The door at the top of the stairs burst open, and three figures appeared, shadows against the dim light. They moved quickly, their intentions clear. Y/N's pulse skyrocketed. They were trapped.

Minho didn't flinch as the intruders entered. Instead, he stepped back, smirking. "Looks like my reinforcements have arrived."

Jungkook's gaze hardened, his body moving protectively in front of Y/N as the men descended the stairs. "Stay behind me," he growled to her, his voice laced with danger. He knew what was coming, and so did she.

The first man lunged, and the room erupted into chaos. Taehyung swung his knife, narrowly missing the second intruder as Jungkook blocked a punch aimed at his ribs. The space was too small, too confined. Y/N felt suffocated, fear choking her as she tried to stay out of the fray.

But Minho wasn't done with her. He stalked toward her through the chaos, his eyes fixed on her like a predator zeroing in on its prey.

"Y/N," he called out over the noise, his voice sickeningly calm. "Come with me, and I'll end this. Otherwise..." His gaze flickered to Jungkook, who was locked in combat with one of the intruders. "Otherwise, you'll watch him die."

Her heart clenched. She couldn't let that happen. She couldn't let Jungkook get hurt because of her. But she couldn't go with Minho either.

She glanced at Jungkook, who was fighting with everything he had. His expression was fierce, but she could see the worry etched in his eyes whenever they darted in her direction.

Minho took another step closer, his hand outstretched. "It's over, Y/N. Come with me. Now."

Y/N felt trapped, cornered by fear and indecision. But then, something snapped inside her. She wasn't going to let Minho control her anymore. She wasn't going to be his pawn.

"No," she said, her voice shaking but firm. "I'm not going with you."

Minho's eyes narrowed, his patience finally wearing thin. "You're making a mistake."

Before Y/N could respond, another crash echoed through the room. One of the intruders was thrown against the wall by Taehyung, who was panting heavily but still standing strong. Jungkook had taken down the other one, but he was bloodied and bruised, his chest heaving with exhaustion.

Y/N's heart ached as she watched him, but she couldn't afford to be distracted. Minho was still advancing on her, and she needed to act fast.

Just as he reached out to grab her, Y/N darted to the side, grabbing a small metal rod from the floor. She swung it with all her strength, aiming for Minho's arm.

The impact was immediate. Minho let out a grunt of pain as the rod connected, causing him to stumble back, clutching his arm.

But the fight wasn't over yet.

With Minho closing in and the danger escalating, can Y/N and Jungkook survive the night? And will Jungkook finally admit the truth about his feelings for her before it's too late?
