Shadow of A Grave is technically a sequel/spin-off story to Aftermath. While the story was written in a way that does not heavily depend on requiring you to read the other story, it is recommended. Any important plot points that happened in that story will be reiterated here.
The main takeaway is that it follows the same MC from the Aftermath story, Amelia Blackwood. Her use of Ancient Magic is expanded on in a similar way to Isadora in the Hogwarts Legacy game as she becomes capable of manipulating the soul of herself and others with a deadly touch. This story picks up roughly five years after the ending of Aftermath.
Everything that has happened in between will unravel throughout the course of this story.
Please note that there are various trigger warnings throughout this story. I've done my best not to spoil the plot of the chapter too much in their inclusion, as some points are unclear or implied.
