Miss Thornhill was a menace when it came to giving out assignments. In the selfish way that she thought she was the only teacher in the entire school, and that all the students only studied herbology, and therefore had nothing else to do except learn about carnivorous plants and uninteresting things which, really, wouldn't be of any use to them unless they wanted to follow in the same footsteps. That being said, Enid rolled her eyes discretely as her teacher assigned the class another essay on how lilly's are one of the most dangerous flowers out there for animals. It almost sounded like a threat, considering she was a werewolf.

Wednesday caught her lingering gaze as she was packing up her bag; it seemed as though she couldn't care less about the fact that her homework would take about the entire afternoon and cut into her dear writing time. Then again it was hard to read her stone-faced expression or her soulless eyes, which seemed to be a bottomless, hellish pit full of foreboding secrets that Enid had yet to extract from her. "This is bullshit," the blonde mouthed from the other side of the room, her eyebrows furrowed together in fury. Wednesday nodded but didn't care to elaborate. Maybe she did care about the insane amount of work due for the next day.

God, she was just so filled with an uncontrollable rage. Recently it felt as if the whole entire world was weighing on her, testing her already broken spine just to spite her and drag her through the last burning bit of hell. A bitter taste of hate filled her mouth, quite the opposite to the usual love for life she usually felt. It was replaced with something dark maroon and bleak, and almost everywhere Enid looked it seemed as though her impending doom was written out in front of her in the form of never ending assignments and students who thought that just because her and Ajax had broken up she needed their belittling pity. No, she couldn't be the person who would let an entire student body taunt her until she snapped like a beam. Maybe she was somewhat too scared to stand up for herself and the idea made a cold sweat drip down her back like a glacial river, but she didn't want to ignore them this time.

Throughout her entire life she had been too scared to say what she felt. Too scared to be truthful to her own self. Too scared that what she'd say would hurt other people. As endless thoughts raced around her mind, a delicate rain began to patter onto the conservatory roof and a few students snapped their head towards it. After a month long dry spell in Jericho it was a surprise that the clouds still somehow managed to release any liquid onto the parched town. All but one continued to marvel at the weather; Ajax himself turned to Enid, staring her down with his grim gargoyle gaze and sizing her up as if she were no more than a tiny bug he could squish underneath his muddy boot. "Just for the record-,"he began confidently but was sharply cut off by a pigtailed someone.

"Just for the record, if you try anything on Enid, I will trace each of your steps one by one, find your dorm room and slice that stupid smirk onto your face permanently,"Wednesday whispered lowly, eyes darting like two pointed arrows between students who couldn't care less what was going on around them, "now if you excuse us, we'll be on our way to fencing." She straightened up and guided Enid, who felt an immense medley of about 200 different emotions all at once, by the elbow. Confused to her very core, the blonde squeezed her mouth shut before any rotten words came spewing out at Ajax and she ended up getting an evening detention with Principal Weems. She would dread to have to waste more time before getting this assignment complete. Sorry, assignments.
