Felix POV-
Felix could still feel the ghost of Hyunjin's touch on his cheek. He stood frozen in the dimly lit stairwell, the shadows casting long, eerie shapes around him, making it difficult to breathe. His heart was racing, each beat echoing louder in his ears as he replayed the moment over and over in his head. Hyunjin's words, his smile, that intoxicating mix of danger and allure—it left Felix dizzy and disoriented.
You kissed me back.
The accusation hung in the air like a thick fog. It was true. Felix had kissed him back. Why? He didn't know. Maybe it was the thrill, the heat of the moment, or maybe something deeper that he was too scared to admit. But now, he felt trapped, like he had stepped into a world where the rules were written in invisible ink, and Hyunjin was the only one who could read them.
Felix leaned his head back against the cold wall, closing his eyes, trying to slow his racing thoughts. What am I doing? He thought of Jisung and Minho, his friends who'd warned him about getting involved with people like Hyunjin. Hyunjin was dangerous, unpredictable, and he made Felix feel things he wasn't ready to face.
But there was something about him. Something that pulled Felix in, even though every instinct told him to run. Felix opened his eyes, staring at the spot where Hyunjin had stood just moments ago, his presence still lingering like a shadow.
He hated the way Hyunjin made him feel—small, insignificant, like a pawn in some twisted game.
But Hyunjin was wrong. Felix wasn't weak. He wouldn't let himself be dragged into something he couldn't control. He was going to find a way to outsmart Hyunjin, to end this game before it consumed him.
I'm not your pawn, Hyunjin. Felix thought, pushing himself away from the wall, determination hardening in his chest. He wouldn't let Hyunjin get inside his head any more than he already had.
But as Felix walked down the corridor, the cold air biting at his skin, he couldn't shake the feeling of unease spiraling though him.
Hyunjin POV-
Hyunjin leaned against the railing, the faint scent of smoke lingering in the air as he stared at the spot where Felix had stood. His heart was still pounding with exhilaration, a slow, satisfied smile curling at the edges of his lips.
The way Felix had looked at him, with a mix of confusion, fear, and desire, had been intoxicating. Felix was like a puzzle, and Hyunjin had always loved puzzles—especially the kind that took time and patience to solve.
He pulled out a cigarette, lighting it with a flick of his wrist, the flame briefly illuminating his sharp features. The warmth of the cigarette was fleeting, but it was enough to settle the lingering thrill in his veins.
Felix.
Hyunjin had known from the moment he saw him that Felix was different. There was something raw, untapped beneath that calm, innocent exterior. It was like finding a diamond buried in the dirt, and Hyunjin was determined to polish it until it shined as brightly as it could.
But first, Felix needed to understand his place.
Hyunjin exhaled slowly, smoke curling up into the cool night air. He liked to play games, and Felix had unknowingly stepped onto his board. A pawn, so innocent and unsuspecting. But even a pawn, if moved the right way, could become the most powerful piece on the board.
He chuckled softly to himself, the sound low and dangerous. Felix didn't realize it yet, but he was crucial to Hyunjin's plans. He wasn't just another toy to be discarded. No, Felix was special. And Hyunjin was going to make sure he understood that—one way or another.
The stairs creaked beneath his feet as he made his way back down the stairwell, his mind already racing ahead, planning his next move. He thrived on control, on chaos, and Felix was the perfect catalyst for both.
Felix was still too scared to see it. He clung to the illusion that he could walk away, that he could resist Hyunjin's pull. But that was part of the game—letting Felix think he had a choice, when in reality, every step he took only brought him deeper into Hyunjin's world.
You kissed me back.
That moment replayed in Hyunjin's mind, the taste of Felix still lingering on his lips. Felix had wanted it, as much as he tried to deny it. Hyunjin could see it in his eyes, feel it in the way his body reacted. The push and pull between them was a dance, and Hyunjin was the one leading.
But Felix would learn. He would learn that resisting was futile, that every move he made was exactly what Hyunjin wanted.
Hyunjin paused at the bottom of the stairs, his cigarette almost burnt out. He flicked the last bit of ash onto the ground, crushing it beneath his heel with a satisfying crunch.
Felix was going to be his.
And once he had him, Hyunjin would show him just how dangerous it was to get involved in his games. But there was no turning back now—not for Felix, not for either of them.
He smiled to himself, the darkness of the stairwell swallowing him whole.
This is only the beginning, he thought, already anticipating the next step in their twisted dance.
Felix POV-
Felix tossed and turned in his bed that night, his mind a tangled mess of thoughts and emotions. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw Hyunjin's face, heard his voice, felt the lingering touch of his hand on his cheek.
It was infuriating. Why couldn't he shake this? Why couldn't he just forget about Hyunjin and move on with his life?
Felix sat up in bed, running a hand through his hair. The room was dark, the only light coming from the streetlamp outside his window. He stared at the shadows on the wall, trying to make sense of the whirlwind that had become his life.
Hyunjin had a way of getting under his skin, of making him question everything he thought he knew about himself. He hated it—hated the way Hyunjin made him feel vulnerable and exposed.
But at the same time, there was something thrilling about it. As much as he tried to resist, there was a part of him that was drawn to Hyunjin's dangerous charm.
Felix let out a frustrated sigh, flopping back onto his bed. He couldn't let Hyunjin win. He couldn't let himself get sucked into whatever twisted game he was playing.
But deep down, Felix knew he was already in too deep.
Hyunjin POV-
Hyunjin stood in front of a large chessboard, the pieces neatly arranged in their starting positions. His fingers hovered over the white pawn, the first piece to move, the one that set the entire game in motion.
He smiled to himself, the image of Felix fresh in his mind.
You're my pawn now, Felix, he thought, moving the white pawn forward with a deliberate push.
But unlike most pawns, Felix had the potential to become something much more. Hyunjin could see it in his eyes—the spark, the fire, the untapped potential waiting to be unleashed.
Hyunjin moved the pieces on the board with practiced ease, his mind already plotting the next moves, the traps he would set, the way he would manipulate Felix into becoming exactly what he wanted.
Even a pawn can become a queen, he thought with a dark smile, placing the black knight into position.
Felix was already his, whether he realized it or not.
And soon, Hyunjin would make sure Felix knew just how far he could go.
Hyunjin, satisfied smile curling at the edges of his lips.
