Felix POV-

As the day faded into night, the atmosphere in the room shifted. The playful tension from their earlier game had transformed into something more serious. Felix lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, replaying every moment from their interaction. The way Hyunjin had opened up to him, even just a little, lingered in his mind.

Eventually, the door creaked open, and Hyunjin stepped in, a soft glow from the hallway illuminating his features. Felix's heart raced at the sight of him. He had never been one to shy away from confrontation, yet he couldn't shake the strange, magnetic pull he felt towards Hyunjin.

"Are you ready for bed?" Hyunjin asked, his voice low and soothing, like a balm on Felix's frayed nerves.

Felix turned to face him, forcing himself to sound braver than he felt. "I'm not tired."

Hyunjin raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "That's a lie. You've had a long day. Trust me, you'll feel better after some rest."

"I don't need your advice on sleep," Felix retorted, though his eyelids felt heavy, the day's events weighing on him. He tried to ignore the way his heart raced at the thought of spending the night with Hyunjin, the two of them together under the same covers.

Hyunjin moved closer, his expression softening. "You're right. But I think you'll find that sleeping next to me isn't as bad as you think."

Felix shot him a glare, feigning annoyance. "I'm not cuddling with you. Not happening."

Hyunjin chuckled softly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "We'll see about that." He climbed into bed beside Felix, the mattress shifting under his weight, and pulled the covers over them both.

Felix felt the warmth radiating from Hyunjin, a comfort that was both disconcerting and inviting. "Hyunjin..." he began, unsure of how to voice his discomfort.

"Just for tonight," Hyunjin said, his voice gentle. "It'll be easier for both of us if we stay close. I promise I won't bite."

Despite himself, Felix let out a reluctant laugh, but the tension in his shoulders didn't completely ease. He turned onto his side, trying to maintain a distance, but Hyunjin scooted closer, wrapping an arm around Felix's waist and pulling him against his chest.

"See?" Hyunjin murmured, his breath warm against Felix's ear. "Isn't this nice?"

Felix's protests died in his throat as he felt the rhythm of Hyunjin's heartbeat, steady and calming. It was strange—he had fought so hard against this connection, yet now that he was here, wrapped in Hyunjin's embrace, he found himself relaxing against the softness of the sheets.

"I guess it's not the worst thing in the world," Felix muttered, his cheeks warming as he buried his face in the crook of Hyunjin's neck. He felt vulnerable, yet secure, as if the world outside had faded away, leaving only the two of them cocooned in this moment.

"Just wait until morning," Hyunjin teased, his voice low and soothing. "You might even start to like it."

Felix rolled his eyes, but he couldn't hide the smile creeping onto his lips. "Don't count on it."

Hyunjin tightened his hold slightly, his touch gentle and reassuring. "I'm counting on it."

As the minutes turned into hours, Felix felt his defenses crumbling. The tension that had filled the air earlier dissipated, replaced by a warmth that spread through him. He closed his eyes, allowing the comfort of Hyunjin's presence to lull him into a state of ease.

"Goodnight, Felix," Hyunjin whispered softly, his breath brushing against Felix's ear. "I'll protect you."

Felix's heart raced at the sincerity in Hyunjin's voice, the weight of the promise hanging in the air. Despite the circumstances that had brought them together, there was something undeniably comforting about being held by Hyunjin.

"Goodnight," Felix replied, his voice barely above a whisper. He let himself drift into sleep, the chaos of the day fading into the background, replaced by the warmth of Hyunjin's embrace.

As Felix succumbed to the depths of slumber, he couldn't help but wonder if maybe, just maybe, there was more to Hyunjin than the darkness that surrounded him.
