Percy opened his eyes slowly and weakly. His breathing was shallow, and his endoskeleton felt like goo. He tried to stand up from where he was until he realized that he was already standing as he opened his eyes some more. Once they were fully open, he swirls of browns, shades of blue, some green out of the corner of his eye, and gray. His throat felt like it had something in it, and out of instinct, he swallowed, and the thing in his throat disappeared. He felt himself swaying as if the wind was pushing him.
Inside his systems, he felt like vomiting or passing out again. He tried to sharpen his vision, but the only thing he could make out was the microphone in his hand. It was black, tinted in gray at the bottom. His head was spinning and his focus aimed for the floor all of a sudden.
Wha... the...Percy tried to say in his head. He opened his mouth, expecting words to come out. He felt like he had just been shot with sedatives. His eyes kept crossing and rolling back into his head, and he felt too weak to move. Before he knew it, his legs crumpled to the ground.
The sound of a muffled voice filled his ears and he felt cold hands grab him by his shoulders. The voice sounded like they were concerned, it having a southern accent. Percy looked up weakly, seeing a blur of pale brown, green, red, and blue. He could make out a face, with eyes bright blue and a red hat on top. His eyes hurt just looking at the face.
Is... Pal... Percy's thoughts subjected to Pal, as he closed his eyes to stop the pain from his constantly crossing eyes. Until a theory came up in Percy's mind that questioned Pal's entire existence.
Was it all a dream?
The voice could be heard more clearly for Percy. He opened his eyes, his eyes no longer crossing but instead just looked a bit blurry. A loud ringing echoed in Percy's ears, like a siren blaring out. His breathing was barely existent, and his entire body suddenly felt cold.
Percy shut his eyes again, and once he opened them he saw Felix.
Felix was holding Percy by his shoulders, His eyes a vibrant blue. His face was twisted in worry. The world behind Felix was swirls of color.
" Percy? Can you hear me?" Felix asked, voice shaking. Percy's hearing sharpened along with more of his vision, noticing that he and Felix were on the stage.
"Was it all... a dream?" Percy choked out. His own hands felt cold as he tried picking himself up, but crumpled back on his knees. Percy blinked multiple times to notice that Felix was panting.
His face was swirled with emotion, Percy being too weak to exactly figure them out.
" I wish it was."
Percy's head stirred with the thought of Pal and his manic grin. Memories from Pal taking control of him came flooding back. Percy widened his eyes and tried to see the background behind Felix.
" I think this is yours." Felix turned his head to glance at the little white distorted blop from Percy's view. He Shut his eyes for a brief moment, before opening them to see His ripped Tot plush in Felix's left hand.
Percy lifted his hand weakly to grab it. The plush felt warm in his hand as he felt a boost of strength. The background became more recognizable, and the swirls of color reshaped into the actual world. All the sounds were more clear. Percy held the Tot plush close to his chest and sensed his legs activate again. He stood up, the endoskeleton parts in his legs still shaking but strong enough to stand up independently. Felix let go Of Percy's shoulders but observed every action Percy did for safety.
" Where... are the others?" Percy asked wobbly.
" In the circus. The poodles are there too." Percy sighed thankfully, his mind going straight to the Poodles after he asked where his other friends were.
