jasslyn's pov

it has officially been a month that ive been at blue fire as of a couple of days ago. they're finally letting me write a letter home.

it's not that i wanted to write one to my parents, instead for the past month i had been observing, wondering how i'd be able to give paige a letter.

i want so badly to tell her whats going on, but knowing her she'd go straight to my house and go on a rampage. thats the last thing i want.

my parents would immediately call the camp and tell them i'd wrote her a letter. all my "progress" would go to shit and i'd have to stay longer.

once i made sure no one was coming into the cabin anytime soon i got to writing.

dear paige,

i know this might seem crazy, one night were at a party, and the next im gone. i know its been a month and i haven't been back, but don't worry im okay. ت i went to a camp near hopkins, hopefully ill be back soon, and everything will be back to normal like how it was. please wait for me, ill always wait for you. i love you.

love, jassy ♡︎

i signed it off with jassy since thats the nickname paige gave me when we met. she's the only person to call me jassy, i won't let anyone else.

i folded it and stuffed it into my pocket. i left my cabin weary of my surroundings as i walked over to the cabin where we turn in our letters.

"i wrote my letters for my parents." i say handing them the ones i wrote out for my father and mother.

before they send them off they have to read them to make sure we don't say anything cruel about this place.

the man read through my letters and nodded in approval as he turned around to put them in a box labeled "approved letters"

i took that time to slip the one i wrote for paige in a pile of letters. he turned back around grabbed that same pile and put it in the box.

i quickly left the cabin with a smile on my face as i headed towards the cafeteria. i had befriended a few girls in my cabin.

it's such a shame though, they have been here for longer than i have so they all truly believe their love is a sin.
