Based on the song The Mountain Song by Tophouse (sorry for so many song-based ones lol)

Yuno was sitting in his room reading, his old room from the orphanage in Hage. He and Asta got a few days off and, per usual, went back to their home village. Everything was serene until the door burst open, Asta's eyes sparking.

"I have an amazing idea to do while we're off!" He exclaimed, going over to sit next to Yuno.

"Oh yeah? and what would that be?" Yuno asked with slight amusement in his tone.

"I was thinking we could go hiking! There's this huge mountain that takes two days to climb and two to get back down! Doesn't that sound fun?"

Yuno couldn't help but smile at the idea and gently shake his head. "That does sound like fun, I'll admit."

"Then c'mon! Let's go!" Asta excitedly grabbed Yuno's hand and went to tell the others about their plan and get materials. It seemed Asta planned to leave the same day.

Once they got the stuff ready and into a backpack (which Asta was more than willing to carry), they were off. They had basic necessities like a tent, sleeping bag, food, lots of water, extra clothing, a first aid kit, and other important stuff. Asta was excitedly walking, trying not to go too fast so as to not leave Yuno behind. Yuno didn't have as much stamina as Asta, and despite knowing how Asta is, would always be shocked by his stamina. He clung to trees to help him move up the steep mountain. But in turn, caused him to get a splinter. He gently yelped out in pain and looked at his hand to see a thin piece of wood in his finger. Asta looked back once he heard the quiet yelp.

"You okay?" He stopped and turned to Yuno, gently taking his hand in his.

"Yeah, just a splinter..." Yuno said quietly while looking at his hand. Asta immediately got the first aid out, which he made to be easy to grab for times like this. He sat the kit on the rough and rocky ground and took Yuno's hand once again. Asta gently plucked out the splinter, which didn't hurt much, then picked the kit back up and placed a bandaid on the finger before tenderly kissing it and giving Yuno a goofy smile. He couldn't help but lightly blush and smile at Asta's sweet actions.
They continued their hike, but this time with clasped hands.

About halfway up, it was beginning to get dark. The sky was dimming to twilight, with royal blue beginning to mix with a vibrant orange. They decided to set up their tent on a somewhat steady part of the mountain.

"So uh... how are these supposed to be set up again?"
Yuno gently shook his head with an entertained smile. Just like their first trip to the Clover Kingdom, he was going to have to set up the tent.
Asta stood idly by the side, watching Yuno carefully set up the tent. As Yuno finished getting the last peg in the ground, he stepped back, grabbed one of the sleeping bags, and smiled at Asta. Asta then put the backpack on the floor and grabbed the second one. Now that their shelter was set up, the next step was food.

The food they brought was fairly simple: a few cup noodles and, of course 'taters. Asta sat quite close to Yuno while they talked and ate, not that he minded in the slightest. Once they were finished eating, they took a few minutes to just admire the twinkling stars that stood out in the navy blue sky.

"Woah... it's so pretty," Asta mused, his mouth agape.

"Not as pretty as you..." Yuno mumbled while glancing at Asta.

"I heard that, you cheesy bastard!" He gently punched Yuno's arms, leaving them both in a brief and sweet laughing fit.

After calming down, Yuno let out a relaxed sigh and leaned against Asta, still glancing up at the star-covered sky. They sat in tranquil silence, just enjoying the view and each other's presence. Yuno let out a yawn and gently snuggled closer. There was a light breeze, not too cold nor hot, that made everything evermore peaceful.
