Our Anniversary

A/N: Hello people! Hope you're doing well! This will be a Mafia au where the Golden Dawn, the Black bulls, and the Crimson Lions are in a Mafia gang together. This is a modern au as well, and their leader is Julius. This will have some angst so, I hope you enjoy! Btw everyone is over 18.

Asta pov

Why did I decide to join them? All they're going to do is Shopping and karaoke. I don't know why they were so persistent with me going, they usually don't ask because they know I'll say no, "C'mon Asta, be more excited!" Vanessa cheered. "Yea Asta, it'll be fun," Klaus added on. "You know I hate shopping and karaoke." I huffed out in annoyance. "You'll be fine!" Leo said. This is dumb.

We went to many shops, pick-picketing, and shoplifting almost everything, I wouldn't even call this shopping. "C'mon Asta, join in! You know you want to steal!" Vanessa exclaimed. "I don't want to do this baby stealing shit! I'm out for blood. I wanna kill him so damn bad!" I yell. "I know Asta. We all know. He's the reason you're like this, but revenge isn't a reason to live." I growl at this. "Tell me, what is the reason for living in the cruel world, after all, dying isn't the opposite of living the like majority of people think it is but part of the experience of life itself, without observing death up close one can't capture the full picture of what it means to live (Dazai Osamu bsd quote 😌)." I sigh angrily. "Can I leave?" I ask harshly. "No, c'mon it's almost karaoke time." I glare at her. "Another reason for me to leave." I say as I lean against the wall of the alleyway where I was standing."

Karaoke time!" Vanessa cheered." This is going to be touring, I thought. When we got there, I sat down at the bar and ordered a whiskey while the others looked like idiots singing off-tune. I hated this place. I drank my whiskey while looking at my phone. "Asta join us!" Leo yelled at me. I flipped him off and ordered another whiskey.

"You can't just drink your life away." It was Mimosa. If I'm being completely honest, out of everyone, she was definitely the nicest, cared for everyone, she was basically the therapist and medic for when we got physically injured. "I'll be fine, now just go back to the others," I say while looking back at my phone. "Are you sure?" She asked. I nod and hum in response.."well... Ok, but please ask me if you need anything." And with that, she left.

Soon, I noticed someone in front of me. When I looked up at who it was my blood began to boil and I dragged them outside in the cold rain.

"What the fuck are you doing here?!" I yelled. "I-i know you're angry but-" he was cut off. "Angry?! Angry can't even describe what I'm feeling right now! You left me and went to America and didn't even bother to tell me the reason or even a goodbye!" The others came out to investigate the commotion. "Yuno?" Klaus asked. My eyes widened in realization. "You guys planned this, didn't you?! You knew Yuno would be here and that's why you insisted on me coming!" I gritted my teeth angrily. "I'm leaving!" I shout and start walking away. "W-wait Asta." I turn to them "No!"

"Can't believe those assholes," I mumble to myself putting up my wet clothing. "They know I hate Yuno's gut."

I see a note on my door and read it. "Hello, Asta! Go to the tree in front of the clover high school, there'll be a little gift there ;)." What the fuck is this? I sigh, I might as well go, I got nothing else to do. I put on my coat and head to the tree. When I get there I see another note. "Hello Asta (or at least I hope it is)! So this is Yuno, I also put the first note. Now, go to the bench in front of the Café we used to go to, there'll be another surprise waiting." I crumbled up the note and threw it on the ground, then, I saw a book. "No Longer Human, Dazai Osamu" He... actually remembered? I've been wanting this book ever since high school. I sigh, hating the fact that I and Yuno are still technically together. We never broke up when he left.

I head to the bench and see another note. "Hello, again Asta (or at least I hope it is)! I hope you recognize this surprise, it took a lot to get it! Now, head to the stop sign by the convenience store." I looked at the 'surprise', it was a broomstick. I then remembered. It was the time I and Yuno were making out in the janitor's closet, Noelle opened the door to grab this same broomstick and we were caught. I chuckle at the memory, then head to the next destination.

This went on for 3 more notes before the note said. "Go back to the tree in front of the school, there will be a very special surprise." I headed to the school.

When I eventually got there I didn't see anything, until I saw black wisps of hair from the other side of the tree. "What do you want?" I say harshly. Yuno goes in front of me. "I want you to forgive me." I grab his collar bringing him to my height. "You want my fucking forgiveness?! After you abandoned me without a word, you selfish bastard! Leaving me with no damn explanation and then asking for forgiveness?! You must be sick in the head! The only way you can earn my forgiveness is by explaining why the hell you left without saying a word to me!" Yuno put his hands on mine, I pulled away. "Don't fucking touch." Yuno sighed. "It was sudden and immediate. They said I didn't have any time to say goodbye and I had to leave then and there." I furrowed my eyebrows. "Who's they?" I asked, starting to regret yelling at him. "The higher-ups. Specifically, Sir Julius and Sir Yami." I was speechless, he wanted to say goodbye, he really did, but he couldn't. "Tch." I looked away from him.

I felt hands on my face gently pushing my head to look at Yuno. "Do you forgive me?" I look away, blushing. "I... guess," I mumble out, and he hugs me. "Happy anniversary." He says.

"Happy anniversary, Yuno, may you rest in peace."
