Asta x Yuno one-shots

Your Very Last Breath

A/N: Heyyy. So I know I just said I was going on hiatus, buuut I sent a message to my friend (I'll tell it at the end) that gave me an idea. This is going to be completely angst, with very little fluff. This is also going to be 200 words or less.

Yuno looked at the ground, tears welling in his eyes. He looked down, with terror and fear in his eyes. He saw blood. A puddle of blood pooled under his lover. He doesn't know how it happened. He quickly put his head on the other's chest, listening for some sort of heartbeat. It was there. A very, very faint heartbeat, but he was alive. Quickly, Yuno picked up his lover and rushed him to the emergency room, tears streaming down his face.

Upon arrival, multiple civilians and doctors looked at him in confusion. One of the doctors noticed the blood, and his eyes widened. "Get a stretcher, quick!" The doctor yelled. Many nurses ran over to Yuno, taking the boy in his hands and placing him on the stretcher, and putting on an oxygen mask(?) over his mouth, before rushing him down the hall. Another doctor walked up to Yuno, asking what had happened. Yuno shook his head, he didn't know. The doctor reassured Yuno that the boy would be alright.

"Another thing, what is the boy's name?"

"Asta." His voice was shaky and cracked. The doctor told him to sit down and wait for Asta to wake up, and Yuno did just that.

A few hours later, Yuno was still waiting in the ER. Eagerly waiting for Asta to awaken. Just then, a doctor approached Yuno. "He's unconscious, but in stable condition.." Yuno let out a sigh of relief upon hearing the good news. "Sign here and we'll give you a call if anything happens." Yuno nodded and signed the papers, before leaving. (I've only been rushed to the ER once, and I was like 4 lol. So this is probably really inaccurate)

When Yuno got home, he got a call, it was the hospital. He answered the call.

"Moshi Moshi?"

"Hello, this is Yuno, correct?"

"Yes, it is."

"We do have some bad news about Asta. He's in a coma, and we're unsure of when he will wake up." "I see... Well, thank you for informing me." He then hung up.

He walked to his room and silently wept. The thought of losing Asta scared him.

The next day, he went to visit Asta. He signed in, and headed to the room the nurse told him Asta was in. When Yuno opened the door, he saw his lover lying almost lifeless. Yuno pulled up a chair and sat next to Asta, holding his hand. He kept silent, still holding Asta's hand slightly tight. His eyes wandered to Asta's head, which was covered in bandages. His neck and arms were also wrapped in bandages. It looked like he was cosplaying that one suicidal dude from that one anime (I had too. I love Dazai lmao). His heart aches as he looks at Asta's condition, he can't bear to look at him any longer.

Yuno got up and placed a small kiss on Asta's forehead before leaving.

This went on for three months. Yuno would visit Asta daily, so much so that he became a regular at the hospital.

He did his usual when he came in. Held Asta's hand, gently kissing his knuckles. Placing a few kisses on Asta's forehead. Yuno was getting ready to leave when he heard a long beep. He looked around a bit in confusion, but his eyes stopped at the straight line on the heart monitor. His eyes widened. He ran to the door and saw a doctor passing by. "He's dying!" The doctor's eyes widened. Multiple nurses and doctors ran into the room, and Yuno was forced to wait outside. He anxiously waited outside, his leg bouncing, and gently biting his lip.

The door next to him opened. "I-is he ok?!" The doctor shook his head. Yuno's world fell apart in front of him. "C-can I see him...?" The doctor nodded, and let Yuno enter. Yuno looked at Asta's now lifeless body, tears already running down his face. He gently caressed Asta's cheek, feeling his warmth slowly leave his body. Yuno's tears fell onto Asta's arm. He placed a gentle kiss on Asta's lips.

His voice was quiet and broken. "You always loved being showered with affection, you could never get enough of it. And now, you were showered with affection until your very last breath."

A/N: Heyyyy. Damn, this was way, way longer than expected. And honestly, for me being really shitting at writing angst, this was pretty decent. Anyway- "She was always the cat we could shower with love and affection and wouldn't mind. And she was showered with affection until her very last breath." I sent that to my friend while crying. It's true, and it hurts a lot. Anywayyy hope you're having a better day than me, and if not, hope it gets better!
