Having the Dragon Group's first meeting held just after 8 AM could turn out to be a pretty big inconvenience for us. Instead of having time to prepare, we are being plunged into the exam immediately after discovering our roles.

We weren't able to settle the friction between us and Class B before the first meeting began, and our class as a whole could suffer from the results of groups that Miharu and I don't have any influence over. Any strategy involving the other groups needs to be figured out and coordinated after our first meeting and before the meeting happening later in the day.

We were the last to enter room 205, where the first Dragon Group meeting was due to take place. Tensions were already high, as we found Ryuuen acting as the antagonist before the exam officially began.

"How many times must I say this, Ryuuen?"Katsuragi sighed. "The exam hasn't started yet. Please abstain from needlessly insulting anyone."

Hashimoto nodded to me, completely stone-faced. Beside him sat Nishikawa Ryouko, who was clearly fighting back tears.

"You bald fuck."

We silently sat down next to Hirata, who was neighbouring Class B's set of chairs.

"Who let you two walk into the room?"

Unfortunately, we hadn't escaped his line of sight.

Ryuuen sneered. "Katsuragi, I might cut you some slack this time if you wanna help me take down that bitch," he pointed directly at Miharu.

The conversation immediately steered towards dangerous territory, although there wasn't any current real threat towards us. Class B continued to watch the exchange in an uncomfortable silence.

"Oh? A deal between Ryuuen and Katsuragi? I wonder how that turned out last time," Miharu casually lashed out at the first opportunity.

It was an extremely controversial comment that I wouldn't make myself. The fact that we knew about their contract on the island was information I wouldn't share, but it definitely received the reaction Miharu was looking for.

The room immediately entered a state of confusion.

"Hmm? What's she talking about, Katsuragi?" Hashimoto asked in an accusatory manner. As a member of Sakayanagi's faction, this revelation could completely change Class A's political landscape.

Instead of answering, Katsuragi's eyes narrowed towards Ryuuen, who appeared just as surprised.

"What's the meaning of this, Ryuuen? Why would you give such information to Class D?"

"So it's true?" Hashimoto added fuel to the fire.

"I didn't tell them anything, Baldy. You should tell your classmates about any secrets before you tell your enemies," Ryuuen retorted, quickly regaining composure.

Hirata, like most of the room, resembled a lost child in a bustling street. I decided to go along with Miharu's antics and do everyone else a favour.

"For anyone wondering, the contract in question was set up on the fourth night during the island exam. Class C gave Class A 100 S-points in exchange for 10,000 private points from each Class A student every month until graduation."

There was a moment of silence as everyone mulled over my words, before another explosion of sound.

The gears spun in Katsuragi's head. After I mentioned the fourth night on the island, the reality of the situation dawned on his face as he remembered the early morning of the next day.

He wasn't able to mention it, however, as he was receiving verbal attacks from multiple sides of the room. Class C was jeering at him and celebrating Ryuuen's genius, while Hashimoto and Nishikawa berated him for his fatal error. Unfortunately for him, there were no words or excuses that could save him now.
