Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for the responses on the prologue and the first chapter. I'm so overwhelmed. Here's Chapter 2.
Watched the SPA and idk about you but i feel the 3 major awards i.e best pati, patni and best jodi should've gone to Armaan and Abhira. I am so happy Armaan won best Pati but Abhira deserved it too.. Also how did Anupama win? She's not even a wife anymore. And How did they not win best jodi??? Jhanak and Anirudh aren't even an actual couple? This was one award I was pretty sure would've been Armaan and Abhira's... But anyhow moving on...
Let's discuss the show a little and what the actual mess is going on...
1. I'm okay with anything that happens in TV shows and most storylines don't piss me off the way normal people get annoyed by them but this is the limit. Ive never seen the leads being so mistreated and the fact that Armaan still hasn't grown a backbone and is still apologizing to Vidya and thinking about Ruhi's health. He should be vicious and furious at the family and make Abhira his sole priority. Ik he's a mama's boy and that he has always lived for his family, but the change has to start somewhere. I am happy that he has realised his mistake of those 3 months and is making amends really well but I'd still like for him to do more for her and answer back to his family. Also omg the SR (I'm screaming disrespectfully) it was so good and rohit and sam the chemistry 🥵🥵
2. Coming to the family...what the actual hell is happening with Ruhi and Vidya?? Never have two characters pissed me off the way they do and I've watched yrhpk with BenBa. First off Shruti and Garvita are the weakest (i mean worst) actors in the show and I hate their screeching banshee voices. It's not just the actors, but the characters are so vile and poorly written that no matter how good they act sometimes, you'll always hate them. The whole Ruhi-Abhira friendship for the episodes building up to the identity revelation felt so fake and unnatural since they never had any foundation to build a bond. Whatever they were doing seemed just so weird cuz Abhira and Garvita's Ruhi were never sisterly sisters. Abhira and Pratiksha's Ruhi still had very cute moments and they still felt like sisters.
3. Also with all the disgusting things Ruhi has done during Abhimaan's divorce + the ruhi armaan wedding + causing havoc during the AA wedding + who can forget the crazy display on the actual wedding day, how is she so easily whitewashed? Even Kuhu (who btw was THE MOST FAVOURITE parallel lead in a Dkp show) had so many of her crimes and bad actions revealed to the family, but Ruhi just with a snap of the fingers became good and everyone forgot all the shit she's pulled.. esp Armaan and Abhira. If I were Armaan, I would never let Ruhi near Abhira, forget interactions.
4. Coming to the funniest track currently, Ruhi and Rohit.. I mean the show is making a clown out of Rohit. That guy is so brainless.. like the girl was obsessed with his brother even after he came back and yet he was still hovering over her. and the pregnancy lol.. What is this desperation. I get that it's a plot device and I'm 99.9% sure it will end in miscarriage coz they will want Abhira and Ruhi to have kids at the same time (in the future) but still it's so weird and not digestible.
thanks for coming to my Ted talk.. Let's go to the actual chappy!
_______3 Months after Abhira and Armaan's Wedding, Monday evening.
Rohit sat in his office, piles and piles of cases lying haphazardly on his desk as he read another one of the cases that Phupha Sa and his Ma forced him to take. He couldn't understand a single word regarding the case and what he was supposed to do for his client.
A knock on his door disturbed his inner thoughts.
"Mr. Rohit I am Rishi Singhal. Sanjay ji told me that you've taken over the mergers and Acquisitions case for my firm from Mr. Armaan Poddar Sir. We have a negotiation meeting tomorrow." Rishi informed Rohit.
