Hey guys! I'm back with a new chapter. Thank you for all the comments. Keep em coming. The show just keeps bringing new things to frustrate me, and I wish I could incorporate all of it into this fic and give a tight comeback regarding everything being said against my babies. Anyways! Let's jump right into it.
This is also a flashback chapter.
_______3 weeks since Abhira and Armaan's wedding.
The women in the family were in the kitchen, making lunch and having meager discussions about random things.
"Bhabhi Sa, I'm thinking that we should take a family trip. It's been so long since the Mussoorie trip, and it will be a good bonding experience for all." Kajal prompted while peeling potatoes.
"Kajal-" Vidya began, her tone holding rejection.
"Sochiye na Bhabhi Sa, it will be so good for Ruhi and Rohit too as they will get time to mend their relationship further." Kajal intervened, using the only key which could convince Vidya.
"Haan Kajal Didi. Abhira and Armaan, too, haven't gone for a honeymoon. They can take this trip and then leave for the same." Manisha added.
"Manisha! Woh dono-" Vidya said, not wanting Armaan and Abhira there.
"What do you think, Ruhi? Why are you so quiet?" Manisha cut Vidya off and turned to a very silent Ruhi who was stirring the pot.
"Ruhi?" Vidya asked when Ruhi did not respond.
Suddenly, the ladle clanked the stove as Ruhi lost consciousness and fell on the floor.
"Hey bhagwaan! Ruhi!" Vidya immediately crouched, tapping Ruhi's cheeks, and Kajal fetched some water, sprinkling it on her face.
"Lagta hai Armaan-Abhira ke honeymoon ka sun kar chakkar aa gaye." Manisha muttered, and Vidya chastised her. "This is not the time to joke, Manisha. Call Rohit. She's not gaining consciousness. We need to take her to the hospital.
Following her directions, Rohit and Vidya took Ruhi to the hospital while the remaining family paced in worry.
An Hour later, Vidya, Ruhi and Rohit returned from the hospital but they all had tilaks on their foreheads, a Mata ki chunri wrapped around Ruhi's head and boxes of sweets in Vidya's hands but Ruhi and Rohit just stared at the space blankly, zero expressions on their face.
"Yeh Jethani Sa abhi se navratri mana rahi hain? Inko koi batao Ruhi ab kanjak nahi bann sakti." Manisha whispered in Manoj's ear, and he chuckled, covering it with a cough.
"Badhai Ho Ma Sa! Badhai ho aap sab ko!" Vidya exclaimed, a frenzied happiness in her voice as she distributed laddoos to everyone.
"Kya hua hai Vidya? You went to the hospital, right? So what is all of this?" Kaveri asked.
"Ma Sa, we did go to the hospital, but what the doctor told us made me so gaga that I couldn't help but go to the Mandir and thank the Lords myself. Ruhi is pregnant, Ma Sa. I am going to become a Dadi and you, Par Dadi. Oh, I'm so ecstatic!" Vidya said, not able to control her bubbling happiness.
"Jethani Sa toh ese khush ho rahi hain jese pregnant Ruhi nahi, woh khud hain." Manisha commented again, shook over the fact that Ruhi was pregnant.
The family was surprised, the couple who until a few weeks ago were having world wars on the dining table were pregnant? They could've expected Abhira and Armaan to announce a pregnancy so soon if Abhira could've conceived, given the fact that they couldn't keep their hands off each other but Ruhi and Rohit?
Nevertheless, all of them went and congratulated the couple, blessing them and the unborn baby. Dadi Sa rotated some money around the couple, giving it to them and doing a classic "thu thu thu."
