MajesticTHE CONFERENCE MEETING only lasts for two days.
It's a good thing Mr. Hurt has some connections in the disciplinary committee and the boards who could pull some strings for us. Thanks to them, I've been finally freed from my suspension.
But the thing is, I will still face punishment, but this time, magko-community service ako bilang alternative.
The Gonzagas have already apologized to us and the Saavedras during the dinner they arranged last week. As a token of their apology, they gifted us money to avoid dragging the matter to court, especially given Richard's reckless actions that could further endanger their family's reputation.
Richard's father also announced that he already stepped down on his throne as one of the board directors of the school. The board chairman tried to convince him to stay, but the weight of his guilt and the tarnished reputation his son had left behind was already too much for him. He knew that with everything that had happened, he no longer deserved to hold such a prestigious role.
It's clear they regret what happened, and they likely blame Richard heavily for his foolishness.
I am peacefully doing my own thing.
I've been more helpful around the house and have become active in accompanying Tita to her company meetings as a way of making it up to her.
But he already told me many times that it was only nothing and that they were just doing what was right to repay me for defending him against Richard, even though that wasn't really the case because I just got caught up in their fight.
"Yow, Ione!
I rolled my eyes. Sino ba ito?
"Pwede bang lubayan mo ako?"
Kaagad siyang tumawa. "Aray.
I arched a brow. "Pumayag ba ako?"
"Hehe... hindi?"
"Then you're not courting me."
