"BUTI NALANG AT may dala akong first-aid sa bag ko," rinig kong sambit ni Ayrton habang nilalagyan niya ng bandage ang kamay ko. "Masakit ba?"

Tapos na ang meeting namin kay Sir Venezua. We will be expected tomorrow morning together with our parents. Kaya narito kami, hindi alam ang gagawin.

"Andri, kausapin mo ako."

"Yow, guys, narito na ang gwapo! Musta naman ang buhay-buhay mga kapatid?"

"Luwi..."

"Fuck it!" I gritted my teeth as I punched the stoned pebble seat besides me. Fuck it! This is not acceptable! Now they were going to call Ayrton and Maluwi's parents because of me!

I mean, that sucks! Hindi ko pa naman sinasabi kaynila Tita Cecilia at Tito Raleigh ang nangyayari, but the mere thought made me just want to sink into the ground out of sheer embarrassment!

Fuck! I never just ruined my reputation but the Sanfords' reputation as well. Ito na nga ba ang sinasabi ko, hindi ako nagdodoble ingat! Kung kailang nadawit lang ako sa away saka ako mapapa-principal's office at masu-suspend pa!

Tita and Tito already had more than enough on their plates. Si Tito, about sa law firm niya. Si Tita Cecilia naman, tungkol sa naiwang legacy ng mga kamag-anak ko.

They were already struggling to handle our ancestors' company due to its sheer size and complexity, kaya madalas ay late na rin silang umuuwi. That's why they were making me the heiress soon enough—they believed I was the only one who could see it through so that I could end their sufferings already.

Tapos ito ako ngayon, masu-suspend pa?! Stress na stress na nga sila sa trabaho, tapos dadagdag pa ako?

I bit my lower lip. Dapat nakinig nalang ako sa pinsan ko kahapon. Pero kasalanan ko ba? Gulo na nga ang kusang lumalapit sa akin e. Umay!

"Haha... A-Angyare, boss?" kinakabahang tanong ni Mal tapos ay siniko si Ayrton ng malakas. "Hoy, utol! Ginalit mo na naman ba 'to, ha?!"

"Masu-suspend siya," malumanay na sambit ni Ayrton at tumungo.

"Ha?!"

Nagulat na lamang ako nang may padarag na humawak sa magkabilaang balikat ko. Nanlaki ang mata ko nang si Maluwi iyon at inuuga-uga na ang katawan ko.

"Masu-suspend ka?! Ha?! Ano?! Bakit?! Paano?!"

Hindi ako nakapagsalita at tumungo sa aking sapatos.

"Ano bang sinabi ko sa 'yo kahapon, ha?! Sabi ko diretso uwi ka na, 'di ba? At bakit ba kasi sa likod ka ng SU lagi nagpa-park? Ayan tuloy ang nangyari sa 'yo!"

Nanatili akong nakatungo. I can't handle his stare. I can't handle his disappointed face.

"I'm sorry."

"Andri..."

"I was stubborn... It's all my fault. I'm sorry," coldness surged right through me. I can feel the bitterness flooding my tongue. Maybe it's blood from my lips. Or maybe it was just the bitter taste of regret, staining every word I spoke. I had thought I was invincible, that my actions had no consequences, and that I had full control of the world I live in.

But then... I just thought it was.

"Takte, hindi 'to pwede. Lalaban tayo, insan. Kakausapin ko sina Mommy at Daddy. My father will help you out. Hindi pwedeng ma-suspend ka nalang dahil tama lang din naman ang ginawa mo kahapon sa kanya."
