The blue machine continued exploring the Greed layer, feeling quite exhausted after all the fights it had gone thru despite its fuel level being almost at the limit.
V1 let out a tired whirr, something similar to a sigh. It dragged its feet on the hot bricks, its metal feet letting a soft click with every step. Suddenly something struck down upon it, pinning it to the ground.
The robot quickly rolled around on the ground, meeting eye to eye-... Or rather mouth. A hungry filth has pounced onto V1, taking advantage of the machine's disoriented state. The creature fiercely bit down into V1's chest and let out a yowl of pain, its teeth scraping against the metal.
V1 kicked the creature off, buying itself some time to stand up as the filth rolled on the ground, quickly standing up as well. It didn't take much to silence it. As the green husk dashed towards V1, the machine quickly pulled out its shotgun and pulled the trigger. The bullet swiftly pierced thru the creature's head, leaving it limp on the ground and bleeding.
V1 looked glanced down at the corpse, seeing the blood glisten in the sun... How appetizing. The machine kneeled down and dipped its hands in the blood before rubbing the liquid over its torso and optic, soaking up the blood thru its vents and space in its plating, letting the delightful juice be processed into fuel later on.
With V1 now satisfied, the world went silent again. The machine stood up and continued to wander, making its through the gates of the pyramid. Something in its systems warned it to be cautious, to stay vigilant - not like it wasn't that already - but this time... It felt different.
