An abandoned child

Sum- (Y/n) starts to lose her fear of something bad happening until it happens. Looks like she hit the two-week mark after all.
Or, a father leaves his [unbiological] child

LMAO this took forever

It was now time for a meal. Personally, (Y/n) couldn't be bothered to eat, the food tasting raw and disgusting on her tongue. So, she sat there, watching the others eat and converse. The brunette child, as she now knew as Wilbur, kept trying to make conversation with her, but she avoided him, sitting near Philza.

Phil would glance at her every once in a while, glancing down at her plate which was still full, and frown.

(Y/n) sighed and reached for Philza's hand, grabbing it and squeezing. As he looked at her, she smiled, gentle and light, just as he taught her all those years ago.

Wilbur's eyes widened as his father showed affection to the girl by ruffling her hair. 'What? Why? He's always busy with work, but the second she comes, he drops everything for her! He barely even knows her!' he thought, clenching his fork in his fist, angrier at Philza than he could ever be at her.

"May I be excused?" she said quietly before earning a polite nod from Phil and walking off. Wilbur sighed, at last he could finally ask about her.

"Father," he said, standing up. Philza's eyes met his own, sorrowful grief filling them.

"Do you need me there for you tomorrow?" he asked suddenly.

"Uh- no, no thank you. What I really want to know is, who is she?"

"She? You mean (Y/n)?"

"If that's her name, yes. Who is she, Father?"

"(Y/n) was my most recent mentee. The way I found her, I won't go into details, was rough. In the short version, I saved her life. She wasn't trusting in me at first, though she eventually warmed up to me over time. Let's just say that if I hadn't been there, she would've died," Phil explained.

As Philza went on to explain some things about her, of course nothing that involved that place , Wilbur became more and more interested in her. How she lived, from what he was told, was far different than he had ever imagined. When his father was done reminiscing the times of old to him, he immediately excused himself with a polite "thank you" before heading up to his room.

'~~~--------------------~~~'

And that's how Wilbur found himself strumming his guitar, his thoughts always drifting to this (Y/n) girl Philza had spoken fondly of.

Noises then interrupted his thoughts, and looking out the window, he saw Technoblade, as mighty as his name was stupid, leading the familiar small form of (Y/n) out the gates. ' What are they doing? Where are they going? Will they come back? Will they come back? Will they come back? Will they-'

'~~~--------------------~~~'

"You're late."

"As expected, Techno. It's only day one."

Wilbur blinked and found himself in his father's training pavillion, the two familiar faces of (Y/n) and Technoblade standing there. They both were studying him, as it seemed, with her face having the smallest of smiles, possibly in amusement, possibly in happiness. She was so hard to read, just as Techno was.

"Wh-what are we learning today?" Wilbur asked.

"Your father said you were seriously crap at fencing," (Y/n) said bluntly, though there was the slightest of amused smiles on her faces.
