It all started when the 97 line bonded over shared experiences. Jungkook from BTS and Mingyu from Seventeen had clicked almost immediately, and over time, their friendship deepened. The two groups were already close, with the 95 line of BTS being equally friendly with Seventeen’s members. But as both BTS and Seventeen got busier with their global schedules, it became harder for the groups to spend time together.

But not for Mingyu and Jungkook.

Whenever they could, they adjusted their schedules to meet, even if it meant late-night video calls or stealing a few hours between rehearsals. The more they hung out, the more they realized how much they enjoyed each other’s company. It started as casual banter over text messages and late-night dinners. But as the months passed, the relationship shifted. Their meetups became less about hanging out as friends and more about savoring each other’s presence. They began to notice the little things — the way Jungkook’s eyes crinkled when he laughed or how Mingyu’s voice softened when he talked to Jungkook.

One evening, after a long day of schedules, they found themselves sitting together on a rooftop overlooking Seoul’s bright lights. Jungkook was leaning against the railing, his eyes gazing at the city below, while Mingyu sat beside him, a comfortable silence lingering between them.

"I don’t know why," Mingyu started, breaking the silence, "but being with you makes everything else seem... less tiring."

Jungkook chuckled softly, still looking at the skyline. "I know what you mean. It’s like... I can just be myself when I’m with you."

Mingyu shifted slightly, turning to face Jungkook. "Do you ever think about why we keep meeting up like this? Even when we're both so busy?"

Jungkook hesitated, feeling a mix of emotions he wasn’t quite ready to admit. But then, without thinking, he said, "Maybe because it’s more than just friendship now."

The words hung in the air between them, and Jungkook immediately regretted saying it out loud. He didn’t want to scare Mingyu off. But instead of looking surprised, Mingyu smiled softly.

"Yeah," Mingyu said, "I’ve been feeling the same way."

Jungkook’s heart pounded in his chest. "Really?"

Mingyu nodded. "I didn’t want to push it or make things awkward, but the truth is... I like you, Jungkook. I think I’ve liked you for a while now."

Jungkook finally turned to face him, his eyes wide with surprise. "You do?"

Mingyu laughed softly, his usual confidence slightly fading as he ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah, I do. And I know it’s crazy with everything we’re doing, with our careers, but... I wanted to be honest with you."

Jungkook smiled, feeling the tension melt away. "I’m glad you said something because... I like you too, Mingyu."

For a moment, they both just sat there, smiling like two lovestruck teenagers. The city buzzed beneath them, but up on that rooftop, it felt like the world had stopped.

"Does this mean we’re... you know, together?" Jungkook asked, the uncertainty clear in his voice.

Mingyu chuckled and reached out, gently taking Jungkook’s hand. "If you want it to."
