~Twelve Moons Later~*Hawkkit's POV*

I was nervous. Like, really nervous.

Today was the day that me and my littermates, Silverkit, Robinkit, and Wolfkit, become apprentices of StormClan.

I looked over at the Apprentice den. Which was a hollowed out bush with vines covering the entrance. It was pretty crowded due to there being six warrior apprentices in the Clan. But Yorkpaw, Indigopaw, and Pepperpaw are going to be moving into the Warrior's den soon once they pass their final assessment.

"You shouldn't be nervous." My mother, Sleekwhisker, said as she walked up to me. I looked up into her green eyes. I then looked down at my fur. Due to Sleekwhisker having yellow and my father, Roachwing, having silver-gray fur is the reason why my fur is cream colored.

That, and because my grandmother, Dawnpelt was also cream colored.

"Why not?" I asked her.

"Because you come from a long line of warriors! Your uncle is the current leader of ShadowClan. I wouldn't be surprised if you end up being a Clan leader as well." Sleekwhisker said to me.

She always said that me and my littermates are destined to be warriors of StormClan. But I always feel like there is more I should do than just being a warrior.

I want to be like my grandmother, Tawnypelt, and go on a quest that might save the Clans.

Or anything like that.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the Great Pine!" Wishstar called out from the Great Pine.

The Great Pine was a slightly towering tree with its branches large enough to hold the whole Clan in them and its trunk was wide enough to create Wishstar den, which was half way up.

Wishstar, the wildcat both StormClan and StarClan chose to be the first leader of StormClan since Galestar and Stripestar themselves, who were a live before the original SkyClan was chased out of the old forest, stood on a branch that over-looked the whole camp.

After the whole Clan gathered beneath the Great Pine, Wishstar spoke again.

"Today is the day that the first kits born in the Clan become apprentices." She then looked at me and my littermates. "Silverkit, Robinkit, Wolfkit, Hawkkit. Step forward." She said to us. We did as we were told.

"All four of you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Silverpaw, Robinpaw, Wolfpaw, and Hawkpaw. Silverpaw, your mentor will be Lioness. Robinpaw, your mentor will be Flamedapple. Wolfpaw, your mentor will be Flicker of Dying Flame. And Hawkpaw, your mentor will be Scowl. I hope they will pass down all they know to you."

After that, me and my littermates went to our mentors.

Silverpaw, who looks exactly like our father, went up to Lioness and touched noses with her. Lioness is a tan she-cat that used to be a kittypet, but she left her Twolegs to join StormClan because she wanted to be free.

Robinpaw, who has the same pelt color as our mother, went up to Flamedapple and touched noses with her. Flamedapple is an orange she-cat with white belly fur and green eyes that used to be a member of the Kin.

Wolfpaw, who's a black and white tom that's as muscular as our father, went up to Flicker of Dying Flame, or Flicker for short, and touched noses with him. Flicker is a black tom with small ginger patches that used to be a member of the Tribe of Rushing Water, but he left because he wanted to be like his grandfather, Stormfur.

I went up to Scowl and touched noses with him. Scowl was a black and white tom, and a former member of the guardian cats. He left them to help rebuild StormClan.

"Silverpaw! Robinpaw! Wolfpaw! Hawkpaw!" The whole Clan cheered. I could hear Sleekwhisker and Roachwing cheering the loudest.

"Can we go on a tour of the territory now?" Silverpaw asked her mentor. Lioness nodded her head.

We headed to the camp entrance and walked through it.

When we left the camp, me and my littermates had a slightly hard time keeping up with our mentors due to the leaf-bare snow.

"Thank StarClan that leaf-bare will be over in a moon or so. This leaf-bare is almost as bad as that leaf-bare that caused the Moonpool to become frozen solid the rest of the Clans told us." Flamedapple said as we walked up to a border.

"Okay. The four of you take a deep breath and tell us what you smell." Lioness told us.

We did as we were told and took a deep breath. "I smell fish." Robinpaw was the first to speak. The rest of us nodded our heads in agreement. "That's RiverClan's scent. They love to get their paws wet. That's why they have a fishy scent." Flicker explained to us.

We stayed there for a bit longer before we continued walking.

As we headed to the other border, we passed by the hourseplace. "We have to be very careful here. We don't want to alert the Twolegs or horses that were here. There are some cats here that are friendly, but we still need to be careful around them." Flicker explained to us. We all nodded our heads in understanding.

"Okay. This is the WindClan border." Lioness said to us when we reached the border. "It smells like the earth, with some peat in it." Robinpaw said.

We stayed there for a few minutes until we left to contine the tour.

We saw landmarks within our own territory.

Including the main training area for apprentices like me and my littermates. Which was also the last stop on the tour.

"Are we going to do battle training now!" Wolfpaw asked too excitedly for my taste. Flicker shook his head at his apprentice. "No. We're going to be focusing on hunting for now. With so little food during this time, new appliances usually focus on finding prey to feed the Clan." The black tom explained.

Lioness nodded her head. "Indeed. It's important to make sure that the whole Clan is fed. Especially when Sleeping Shade's kits are born."

"Thank StarClan that leaf-bare is almost over. If we were unable to find enough food for those kits.... I don't want to even think about it." Scowl said. "I heard stories from traveling rouges and loners back when I was with the guardian cats when that happened to them. And I'm pretty sure that the Sisters have some stories too." I looked up at my mentor.

I knew that he was right.

If Sleeping Shade's kits had been born at the start of leaf-bare. And with the Clan(mainly Yorkpaw and the other apprentices)still not used to the territory, it was harder for us to find prey during leaf-bare compared to the other Clans.

'Thank, StarClan that they're going to be born close to the start of new-leaf.' I thought as we headed towards what our mentors said is the perfect place to practice hunting.
