Warriors-Whisper of Dawn: Stormy Redemption

Prologue

Kai was silently following the Mechanic, who had escaped from Kryptarium Prison again and gained a new robotic arm. After spotting the cyborg villain half an hour ago, Kai decided to follow him.

Ever since Cole, Jay, and Zane regained their Elemental Powers, Kai had been feeling like he lost his powers for good this time. 'This is the third time I lost my powers! But I can't let that get me down. I will take down the Mechanic on my own, without my powers.' He thought with determination.

After a few more minutes of Kai following him, the Mechanic went into an abandoned warehouse.

"What are you up to Mechanic?" Kai said to himself as he went to the side of the old warehouse to find a window to sneak in through.

As he did, he texted the rest of the team his location, just in case.

Once he found an opened window and sneaked into the warehouse, Kai spotted the Mechanic working on a bomb of some kind. "That's not good." He said as he hid behind some boxes.

But once he did, a rat ran across Kai's feet. This caused the red ninja to jump and knock down the boxes he was hiding behind.

Leading to the Mechanic to spot him.

"Well, well, well. We meet again Fire Ninja." The cyborg villain said before he charged at Kai.

The two fought for a few minutes until they heard the Bounty. "Looks like you're going down, Mechanic!" Kai said with a smirk on his face.

The Mechanic looked around with a fearful look until he saw something that caused him to grin evilly. This also caused Kai to lose his smirk.

"If I'm going down, why not with a bang?" He said as he used his flamethrower to shoot fire at boxes that were around gas-tanks before he ran out of the warehouse. But he didn't get far before being frozen by Zane.

"Nononono!" Kai said as he tried to summon his Elemental Powers that allowed him to control fire. In hopes that he would get the fire away from the gas-tanks before it caused an explosion.

But it didn't happen.

And the fire spread onto the gas-tanks.

"Kai! Get out of there!" He heard Lloyd shout from outside the warehouse. 'You don't need to tell me twice!' Kai thought as he turned to run out of the warehouse before the gas-tanks exploded.

But before he was even half way to the entrance, it was too late!

The gas-tanks exploded with enough force that Kai was launched out of the now burning warehouse.

"KAI!!!" He heard the rest of the ninjas shout as they ran towards him.

As they all gathered around the fire ninja, Zane scanned his friend to see how badly he was hurt. But once he was finished, the Nindroid's robotic eyes widened and he had tears in them. "Zane, what is it?" Nya asked.

He couldn't bring himself to look at the rest of the Ninja. "His heart-rate is slowing drastically. I'm afraid there's nothing we can do to...." He couldn't finish what he was going to say.

As the rest of the ninjas realized what Zane meant, they heard Kai grunt as he forced himself awake. "*grunts*Guys, can you promise me something?" He asked them. The group stayed quiet as they waited for Kai to continue. "Don't split up like we did when we lost Zane and then Nya." He said to them.

"*sniffs*We promise Kai." Nya said to her brother, speaking for the whole group. 'Leave it to Kai to ask us to keep a promise like that.' She thought with tears in her eyes.

Kai then turned to the Lightning Ninja. "Jay. You better keep Nya safe and treat her right. Or I'll come back and haunt the heck out of you." He said to his future brother-in-law. 'FSM! I won't be able to see my little sister get married.' He thought before the blue ninja spoke. "You got it Kai." He said with a sad smile.
