"Cmon Neeks, show me!"

"Oh my gods, Will, give me a second!" Nico yelled from his changing room/bathroom combo, quickly settling his black headpiece into place.

Opening the door to the main part of the infirmary, he saw his boyfriend Will sitting on a vacant cot with an excited glint in his eyes. He'd barely changed from last year.

Nico gave a halfhearted 'ta-da' wave of his hands, displaying his outfit.

It was a black suit, a golden yellow tie resting on his chest. A hole in the back left an empty spot where his large black wings would be displayed. He also had a black headband with horns on it. Will had sadly shot down his idea to wear a crown and be the Ghost King.

"Oh my gods!" Will clapped happily, running over and hugging Nico. "It look's perfect."

His significant other was in his own Halloween costume, a white suit with golden accents, and a black tie. Instead of horns for him, he had a golden halo. On the side, fake white wings lay on the floor gently. They'd both spent the past two weeks making them.

"Please don't tell me the party is in Percy's cabin again," Nico chuckled after Will finally released him, instead grabbing both of his hands and looking down at the other. His blond hair was styled extra curly, and his tan skin seemed to glow bright still in comparison to his literally glowing freckles. "If it is, make sure I don't drink the punch."

Will laughed hard, far past used to Nico's darker humor. "No, Annabeth managed to convince her cabin to host it in there. Almost all of the campers from New Rome studying are coming back."

Nico nodded, "Okay, that's fine." He then added: "Where are my headphones? I should probably bring them then, just in case."

Will's eyes lit up and he said "Good idea, be right back. Stay here!" He then darted to his office, and a bit of scrambling was heard along with a "Hades, where did I put them...?"

Nico sat on the floor, perpendicular to the wall, and called on his dark wings. The familiar sensation of the bones creating, nerves pulling themselves from nothingness and the feathers pushing out of the new flesh, lulled him into a quiet hum of no particular song. The ache of hiding them no longer present, instead only a newfound power and freedom lay in its place.

"Aha!" The sunny boy in the other room called, running out of the room with cutely tousled hair while holding a pair of black headphones, handing it to the other demigod present.

"Thanks, luce del sole." Nico gratified him, slipping the noise cancelling/music playing duo over his head and resting it around his neck. He gave a thumbs up to his boyfriend, then walked over to where the fake white wings lay.

He scooped them up, the straps that would go discreetly around his arms and chest ready to be strapped on.

Will smiled sweetly, turning around and slipping the ropes on like a jacket and shrugging them into place, spinning in a twirl and watching them swish. They were no where near the size of Nico's, but they were still near annoyingly large and bulky. "I'm just like you!" He laughed, still swishing his upper body from side to side.

Nico laughed too, flexing his wings and letting them brush the cream walls gently. "Ready to go?"

Will nodded eagerly, storming out the door in a sunshiny ray of thunder if there ever was one, not a care in the world for staying near his boyfriend. So much for southern gentlemen.
