- Scene 2..

Tahani, in her second year at the College of Pharmacy…

Her attention was caught by the admiring glances of a handsome young man studying alongside her. These glances had started during her first year, but she didn’t pay much attention to him at first, especially since he was a student in the Medicine Department. She saw him everywhere she went and initially thought it was a coincidence. But as these encounters became more frequent and unusual, she started to take notice. She ran into him more often than she did her own classmates from the Pharmacy Department. After a full year had passed, this started to occupy her thoughts, and she began searching for the reason behind these "coincidences."

She eventually realized that he was following her everywhere, from the moment she stepped into the college until the time she left. From her first step through the college gates, she would find the handsome young man standing outside, waiting for her arrival. He would then walk behind or beside her everywhere on campus: in the hallways, labs, lounges, and even the girls' areas where he would wait for her to emerge.

The strange thing was that despite all this, the handsome young man never tried to approach or speak to her. She was impressed by his respectful behavior, which showed that he came from a prestigious family. He was a young man of good upbringing who respected her and cared for her reputation. His feelings became obvious from his adoring glances, unable to hide his strong admiration for her any longer.

As time passed, Tahani began to develop feelings for him as well. She discreetly gathered information about him without showing her interest to anyone. One day, she met a student from his department and managed to learn that his name was Rabi, a third-year medical student. He wasn’t from her country but was part of a delegation from another Arab nation.

Tahani entered her third year, and it had been a year since she first noticed Rabi. She was tired of thinking about him alone, worried it might affect her studies as her heart and mind became increasingly distracted. She often wondered, “If he likes me, why hasn’t he said anything yet?” The many questions swirling in her mind made her feel the need for a trustworthy friend to confide in, someone she could talk to freely about her feelings for Rabi.

She chose to talk to her sisters, as they were the closest to her and could help her figure out whether Rabi truly liked her or was just wasting her time.

She told them all the details and confessed that she had started to fall for him. One of her sisters, Iman, decided to accompany her to college the next day to observe the young man and try to figure out his true feelings.

The next morning, Tahani woke up early, excited that Iman would be joining her at the college, confident that she would hear some happy news. They entered an empty hall, and Tahani was careful to ensure no one would recognize that Iman was her sister, especially since they didn’t resemble each other much.

Tahani pointed to the window and said: — "Look at the guy standing by the lecture hall door, wearing a white shirt and brown pants, carrying a black bag on his shoulder. Do you see him?"

Iman replied with disgust: — "Oh! Is that the guy you like?"

Tahani, surprised, said: — "What’s wrong with him? He’s tall, handsome, and elegant, with beautiful features!"

Iman laughed sarcastically: — "I was just waking you up. As they say, love is blind!"

Tahani sighed impatiently: — "Okay, I didn’t bring you here for your opinion of him. I brought you to help me, as you promised. I want to know if he really likes me or if it’s all in my head!"

Tahani glanced at her watch and said: — "Listen, I’m going to my lecture now, and I want you to follow him and see what he does!"

Iman replied: — "Alright, go ahead, I’ll see you later!"

Tahani entered the lecture hall, catching a glimpse of Rabi from the corner of her eye. She could see his excitement at her arrival, as usual. His gaze was now clear, as if he longed for her to feel his love.

Tahani felt elated, especially knowing that her sister was watching and would witness this innocent, pure love... a true love.
