On Friday morning, Tahani met Hind in front of the pharmacy. They entered, but Tahani decided to lock the door to avoid interruptions while taking inventory. She noticed a cardboard box lying on the floor, and as she picked it up to return it to its place, she realized it was unusually light. She opened it and found it empty. Checking the other boxes on the shelves, she discovered they were all empty as well. Filled with panic, she began to frantically search through everything. To her shock, only 10% of the cheaper medications remained in the pharmacy. Rushing to the office drawer, she pulled out the records to check the pharmacy’s debts and found that Abdullah had stopped making payments a month ago. She also discovered new purchase invoices made in the pharmacy’s name just two days earlier, involving large, expensive orders. He had planned to leave her buried in debt and then disappear.

Tahani collapsed in despair as she witnessed the destruction of her pharmacy—her dream, her future, and her hard work all shattered. The looming threat of bankruptcy and the possibility of facing jail time weighed heavily on her, especially since the pharmacy's license tied her to various companies. She had spent all her money on her father’s treatment, so where would she find the funds to pay off the debts?

Returning home, she was in a daze, unable to face her family. What would they say when they found out she had been naïve enough to let someone deceive her so easily?

Out of immense shame, she bore the disaster alone. During the day, she pretended to be normal around her family, hiding the pain in her heart. But at night, while everyone slept, she would pace around the house, talking to herself like a madwoman, crying, and desperately trying to find a way out of the catastrophe that had befallen her. Yet, no solution came to mind.

At the height of her despair, thoughts of revenge against Abdullah crept into her mind, even imagining his murder in countless ways. But this was pure fantasy, impossible to carry out in reality. She feared God’s punishment, worried about her family’s reputation, and knew she lacked the cold-heartedness to commit such a crime. And she couldn’t confide in her father, fearing the news of her ruined future might worsen his health or even lead to his death.

In the end, she resigned her fate to God, believing that though she was weak, His power was greater than all His creation.

By the end of the year, tragedy struck. Her kind, gentle father passed away, leaving her alone, vulnerable to her sisters' whims.

Tahani bore her suffering with the patience of the faithful...

It was the hardest year of her life.

Note:

The traitors did indeed meet their fates in due course. Justice was served.

First, Abdullah: A few years after betraying his business partner's trust, he lost everything he owned, and his life fell apart. In the end, he lost his mind, and one day, a relative found him dead in his bed.

Second, Aisha: She didn’t enjoy the inheritance she stole for long, handing everything over to her husband. He repaid her betrayal by marrying another woman, divorcing Aisha, and throwing her out of her father's house. A year after the divorce, she died under mysterious circumstances. Some say it was a heart attack, while others believe it was hepatitis, but most agree that her ex-husband, Naji, helped poison her with the aid of their son. Naji, having worked in criminal investigations, knew all about lethal poisons. He was dismissed after newspapers exposed his grotesque brutality toward prisoners.

Third, Naji, the sadistic conman: After fraudulently gaining wealth from the inheritance, he opened many businesses, bought properties across the country, and invested in agricultural transport. While driving a large truck to deliver fruit to a neighboring country, he had an accident, and the truck caught fire. He couldn’t escape quickly enough and suffered severe burns from his waist down. He spent years undergoing multiple surgeries to walk again, albeit with difficulty. Now, he is infamous in his village as "the cripple." He also suffers from kidney failure and is desperately searching for a kidney donor willing to match his broken body.

Fourth, after getting away with his crime, Aisha’s son moved to Europe and worked in drug trafficking with his cousin, who was just as corrupt. One day, after becoming addicted himself, he died from an overdose, and his cousin was arrested.

  - Scene Sex...

After her father’s death, Tahani saw the true faces of her sisters, and their battle against her became open. They conspired against her daily, often with dangerous schemes, leaving her in complete emotional and psychological ruin.

She watched as all her sisters got married and enjoyed happy lives with their husbands, while she remained single.

Tahani realized she had lost Rabih, the one man who had truly loved her, due to a plot by her sister, Iman. She searched for him, only to find out that after the humiliation she caused him, he had dropped out of school and emigrated to Sweden to forget her. There, he married a Swedish woman and left his past behind.
