"You can't drive too fast, you should always and I mean always pick me up first before my kids. That's all the conditions I have" he says with his hands crossed glaring at the brown eyed curly haired brunette in front of him.
"I can do that" the brunette nods.
"Well then, we have a deal. Now I need to get back to work" he stands up leaving his mother and the brunette to discuss the details.

Hazel was munching on some chocos as I walk into the kitchen. She wasn't really focused on her food, her eyes were glued to her phone.
"Hazel remind me, how many times have I told you not to watch your phone while eating?" I ask firmly.
"You did say clearly that 'no watching phone while eating breakfast lunch and dinner. And this is none of them. It's a snack" she argues.
Okay fine. I pick up a sticky note and write down 'no watching phone while eating ANYTHING'. I stick it to the refrigerator and she rolls her eyes.
"Whatever dad, get off my back. Oh by the way, Lucy and some of my friends invited me for a sleepover can I go?"
"No" I answer as I clean up her dishes.
"You didn't even ask when or where"
"I don't care, whenever or wherever it is a no"
"DADDD" she whines.
"I said no and that's final Hazel. Go and finish your homework" she rolls her eyes again and leaves.
"That's my 15 year old daughter going through her teenage phase" I answer to Rome's intrigued face as he stands near the doorway.
"And your other kid?"
"My other daughter Katie is in her room sleeping" I answer.
"Alright then I gotta run, I'll see you tomorrow at 7" he waves goodbye. As he leaves, mom comes in and puts on her apron.
"So what do you think?" She asks.
"About what?" I play dumb.
"About Rome obviously"
"He's ok. It doesn't matter what I think, if he follows my condition he gets paid and that's it"
"Ah come one, don't be so uptight. Loosen up maybe you guys can be friends"
I scoff. "Thats the last thing I need mother"
"Whatever you say" she says with a tone that screams 'i totally believe you'.
I roll my eyes and leave. Ohh that's where my daughter got it from. Great. I open my bedroom door to see Katie playing with her bunnies. She cried so hard for a real bunny but it was too risky so I bought her a robot bunny. It also cleans so it's two in one.
"Hey babygirl, let's go and have some chocochoci shall we?" I coo as I bring her onto my lap and tickle her. She giggles and tries to tickle me back. A knock on my door. "Come in" I answer.
"Dad, please let me go. I promise I will be safe and take all measures we won't go anywhere too I promise. Please dad"
Now this makes me even more suspicious. What's so great about that sleepover that she's begging "me".
"Hazel, honey, there is no way I'm letting you go. We all can have a sleepover or even a picnic on the terrace if you want" I offer as Katie giggles in my lap.
"DAD, IM NOT A LITTLE KID TO HAVE PICNICS WITH YOU GUYS ON TERRACE" she screams.
"What's going on here?" Mom comes up.
"Grandma. Dad is not letting me go to a sleepover with my friends. There's no guys involved, just me Lucy and probably two others" she complains while clinging onto her grandmother.
"Probably? And who's the other two, got no names?" I snicker.
"Carly and Ailee" she rolls her eyes. Again. Oh my god this kid.
"It's fine darling I'll talk to your father ok. Go on and finish your homework" my mom soothes her and sits down after closing the door.
"Is there no way you're gonna let her go?" She asks.
"No and nothing you say is going to change my mind" I say firmly. Katie has crawled back to her bunny.
"Why not?"
"Because I said so and this is the end of the conversation, I'm leaving"

Next day I was ready with my kids by 6 55 and we were waiting for Rome to show up. Within two minutes he appears in his Bmw. He immediately gets out of the car and carries Hazel's backpack and opens the door for her.
"Mornin sunshine" he greets me with a smile. I give him a grumpy smile back as I carry Katie to the front seat.
"Oh let me" he nudges me before opening the door for me.
As I get in, he simply stands and stares at me with a smug look on his face.
"You look handsome today" he comments.
"Thanks I guess. Now can we leave" I respond. He smirks and closes the door.
"Ugh can you guys not flirt in front of me" Hazel groans.
"Oh sweetheart the real game hasn't even begun" Rome says chuckling. I smack his arm to shut it.
"Where is this little cutie going?" He points at Katie. I grimace slightly.
