Rin's POV
It was quiet for once. Too quiet. Rin glanced at his phone, the Blue Lock group chat buzzing with random messages he ignored. His mind was elsewhere, still lingering on Y/N. The revelation that she didn't have a crush—why had that brought him relief? It was absurd to care. He had more important things to think about.

But somehow, the thought stuck with him like a thorn in his mind. The longer it festered, the more irritated he became. He tossed his phone on the bed, trying to shake off the feeling. Why did he care about her, or anyone else for that matter? He sighed and lay back, staring at the ceiling, thoughts churning in silence.

Y/N's POV
9 AM. The weekend was supposed to be a time to relax, but here she was, trapped at her parents' house, trying her best to avoid them. The heated argument from the night before still weighed on her mind, replaying over and over again. She'd already told them she didn't want to become a doctor or engineer, but it seemed like they weren't willing to drop it.

After slipping out of bed, Y/N carefully cracked her door open and peered down the hallway. Her parents' voices drifted faintly from the kitchen. Great. They were awake, but she wasn't in the mood for more lectures. She tiptoed back to her bed and flopped down, grabbing her phone, desperate for some distraction.

Y/N: Don't think about them. Just... think about the group chat.

She opened the Blue Lock group chat, immediately seeing the chaos that had brewed overnight. Before she could dive in, a new message popped up.

Chigiri:
"Do y'all know about the Diddy case?"

Bachira:
"Wait, what? The rapper??"

Isagi:
"What case???"

Nagi:
"Diddy? I only care about Ziddy, the video game."

Reo:
"Of course you do. "

Y/N's brow furrowed as she scrolled through the confusion that quickly spiraled in the chat. She had no idea what Chigiri was talking about, but the way things were blowing up, she couldn't help but get pulled in.

Y/N:
"What are we talking about now? I've been MIA for a sec."

[MIA: missing in action]

Chigiri:
"You don't know?! Diddy's in hot water—something about a lawsuit or something."

Shidou: [shithoe]
"Bro, it's getting messy. You gotta check the news. Dude's getting canceled or some shit."

Y/N:
"Isn't everyone getting canceled these days?"

Karasu:
"Facts. At this point, I'm surprised we're not canceled yet."

Otoya:
"Not gonna lie, we should be."

Bachira:
"What even happened with Diddy?? I'm so out of the loop."

Chigiri:
"Apparently something huge. Google it."

Y/N searched up on google and a twitter website showed up, Y/N tapped on it and regretted immediately 

Y/N:
"I'm staying far away from Twitter if this is about Diddy. That place is a war zone."

Reo:
"Good call. People will rip you apart for breathing wrong."
