Y/N tugged on her dark gray cardigan, giving her outfit a quick look over in the mirror. Her black long skirt was simple yet elegant, paired with a lace-collared blouse. She leaned into her style but kept it subtle for university—just a hint of lace, dark eyeliner, and her silver pendant necklace. After grabbing her bag, she headed out, excited to catch up with her friends.
Walking across campus, she spotted Hana and Aiko waiting by the fountain, animatedly talking. Hana, dressed in a pastel sweater and cargo pants, was scrolling through her anime feed with wide eyes. Aiko, sporting her oversized hoodie covered in K-pop pins, was mourning the latest news in the K-pop world.
"Ah, the usual suspects. Morning, ladies!" Y/N greeted them with a grin.
"Oh, there she is!" Hana said, turning to Y/N with a dramatic sigh. "Y/N, you missed it! Stray Kids just announced something HUGE, and Aiko's going into cardiac arrest."
Aiko clutched her phone like it was her lifeline, eyes wide. "You don't get it, Y/N. Stray Kids just dropped their teaser—it's too much for my heart."
"Isn't it always?" Y/N teased. "I swear, you're in a state of 'life or death' with every new release."
"Hey, it's serious business!" Aiko huffed, her cheeks turning pink. "And don't even get me started on TXT's new collab. Do you know how much that merch is going to cost me?"
Y/N laughed, shaking her head. "How's your wallet holding up?"
"Girl, it's empty!" Aiko exclaimed. "Between Enhypen's comeback and this... I'm not okay."
They all laughed, the mood light and fun as they walked toward their classes. Hana, however, was clearly holding back excitement, and Y/N caught onto it. "Alright, Hana, spill. What's got you so hyped?"
Hana's eyes sparkled. "Okay, so did you watch Demon Slayer's latest season?"
"Oh my God, yes!" Aiko practically shouted, jumping in excitement. "The Infinity Castle arc? Ubuyashiki blowing up his own house? Goosebumps!"
Y/N grinned, nodding. "That whole arc was wild! The animation was insane."
They continued walking, voices blending into a steady hum of excitement as they dissected the episode. Aiko's expression changed as they neared the main building, however, her face turning somber.
"I know I'm late on this, but... I still haven't gotten over Jujutsu Kaisen's ending," Aiko said, sighing.
"WAHH!" She put on her best sad face. "JJK ended, and Gojo is still not back. How are we supposed to move on?"
"NO, because Gege did NOT have to kill my glorious king Nanami like that!" Y/N said, her voice rising dramatically as she joined Aiko's mournful wails.
"Seriously!" Hana joined in. "And Choso? The poor guy deserved so much better."
Aiko nodded fervently, face screwed up in exaggerated sadness. "I swear, if I ever meet Gege, it's on sight!"
"Yeah, Gege broke our hearts!" Hana snorted. "He was like, 'Here, take these lovely characters you love—now, poof, they're dead!'"
The three of them laughed at the exaggerated "poof," their sadness blending into humor as they made their way to class. It was therapeutic in a strange way, the shared sorrow lightening the burden just a little. They promised to plan a movie marathon soon, to relive every single heartbreaking moment.

After classes, Y/N changed into her athletic clothes and tied her hair up, ready for volleyball practice. She made her way to the gym, excitement bubbling within her. Today was practice day, a chance to get lost in the game and push herself.
