Third Person.

After 5 years...

Mikha rummaged through her stuff, trying to find the mini electric guitar keychain that was gifted to her. She stuck her tongue out, shoving some of her other things out of the way under the bed. When she spotted the keychain tucked at the back, she stretched her arms to reach it and grabbed it, her face breaking into a triumphant smile. Suddenly, her phone rang, causing her to pull away from under the bed, her head smacking against the edge of the bed.

"Aw," she muttered under her breath, rubbing the spot that had been hit. She reached for her phone on the bedside table, looking at the screen to see who was calling. Seeing Colet's name, she pressed the answer button and put the phone to her ear.

"Nareceive mo na ba 'yung invitation letter?" Colet asked through the phone. Mikha creased her eyebrows in confusion and looked around her condo.

"I actually did, yes," she answered, her eyes landing on the small white envelope on the table near the door. She then grabbed it and opened it to read the letter.

"Right, anniversary niyo ni Maloi," Mikha said. "Congratulations on your third year, Colet!"

"Thanks, Khael," Mikha could feel Colet smiling on the other line. "I'm expecting you there."

"Of course, I'm your one and only best childhood friend."

"Oo na, dami pang sinasabi." Mikha laughed while shaking her head. "I'm also expecting that you'll bring her there."

"I will, surely." Mikha replied, pressing the end call button on her phone. She looked at the paper in her hand again, reading the text written on it.

Married for Three Years ❤️

"Corny," Mikha mumbled, though a smile spread across her face. She was about to place it in her bag when she heard the bathroom door open, and a girl emerged, covered in her bathrobe.

"Finally," Mikha said, looking at her. "After 10 years."

"So OA, Mikha Lim," the girl retorted, rolling her eyes playfully while drying her wet hair with a towel.

"I'll be waiting sa living room, okay?" Mikha said, giving the girl a light kiss on the cheek.

"Okay," the girl replied, giving the redhead a warm smile. "Love you!"

"Love you, too."

The ride on the way to the venue was filled with a comfortable silence between Mikha and the girl. The faint hum of music played in the background, blending with the city lights, each glow hiding a secret of its own spark. The night was starry as ever, and the moon was full and serene, casting a calm stillness from a distant world, like a dream.

When they arrived, Mikha opened her car door and went to the opposite side to open the door for the girl. The girl thanked her, giving her a light kiss on the cheek. Mikha smiled warmly at her, her heart fluttering from the gesture. She then offered her arm to the latter, and they walked inside together.

Inside, faint music played in the background, lingering over the moments, while the volume of the crowd grew louder. Soft chatter buzzed through the air, creating a calm vibe. When they spotted the table with their names on it, Mikha immediately made her way over and pulled out the chair for her plus one.

"I'll go to the restroom for a sec," Mikha said, and the girl nodded.

Mikha made her way to the restroom and stood in front of the mirror. Taking a deep breath, she slightly fixed her clothes, wanting to look presentable for her friends.
