An interesting topic; sensory organs in Biology,
Easy to grasp with simple terminology.
Learning it all with my prodigy,
Channeling my excess energy.

The eye has photoreceptors,
As the first type of receptor.
Sensitive to light,
Essential for our sight.

Now let's move to the ear,
Where mechanoreceptors help us hear.
They detect both benign and harmful pressure,
Measuring movement, sound, and touch with pleasure.

Next, we count the nose,
Used for smell, it's functional prose.
Chemoreceptors determine chemical content,
From food or air, creating the scent.

Chemoreceptors are also present for taste,
From the definition above, it's easy to paste.
Taste buds are the sense organs we find,
Fine, let's proceed to the last one in mind.

The skin has two types of receptors,
For the sense of touch and its protectors.
One detects pressure and others in tow,
And thermoreceptors, monitors temperature's flow.
