A/N: Basically an excuse to write fluff. Gregory and Vanessa is an underrated friendship!! Feel like I shouldn't have to say it, but just in case: NOT a ship.
Summary: Gregory's stuck in Vanessa's office for a while, and ends up falling asleep. Vanessa, not wanting to leave the kid alone, takes him back to her apartment. Fluff ensues :]

Gregory sighed, looking up at the out-dated monitor screens. Apparently, spending all your time with a animatronic bear with fragile system security wasn't the best idea, as Freddy had contracted a minor software virus. Vanessa, being the mother hen she was (Gregory knows she is, no matter how much she tries to deny it), had decided that Gregory shouldn't be with Freddy for now, just in case. Which was why Gregory was stuck in the cramped security office, watching Vanessa go about her night patrol via the cameras.
Something on the screen caught Gregory's eye, and he reached for the walkie-talkie that Vanessa gave him. He flicked it on, using his sweetest 'im-a-sweet-child-just-do-what-I-want' voice. "Oh, Vanessa!~"
Gregory saw Vanessa sigh on the monitor before reaching to her belt for her own walkie-talkie. Soon, her voice crackled through the speaker. "What could you possibly want this time? I told you this is only for emergencies, and the past five times you called to tell me idiotic jokes and ask how to open a safe."
Gregory huffed, he never did get into that safe. "Whatever, not the point. You're right next the cupcake shop, aren't you?"
Vanessa sighed, and Gregory could practically hear her pinching the bridge of her nose. "...I'm not getting you a cupcake, you already had like, five sodas."
"Come on, please?"
"..ugh, fine. But do not call me again unless it's actually important."
"Fine, fine, I won't." Vanessa's line went silent, and he saw her walk into the cupcake shop from the monitor. In all honesty, he was getting tired. Vanessa wouldn't be here for a while, so he supposed he could take a nap. A short nap. Gregory pilllowed his head on his arms, closing his eyes. He wouldn't sleep for too long.

Vanessa shifted the box of cupcakes in her arms, sliding the key into the lock. She opened the security office door, sighing. "Gregory, you can only have one, okay? You already-" Vanessa stopped in her tracks, taking in the quite frankly adorable sight before her.
Gregory was sitting on the floor, curled up into the space beneath the desk. His face was pressed against the side of the desk, squishing his face and making his look much younger than he was. Vanessa sighed, shaking her head affectionately. She walked over to the boy, crouching in front of him.
"Seriously, kid?.." Vanessa laughed softly. "Come on, get up." She grabbed Gregory's shoulder, shaking him gently. The boy shifted slightly and gave a small hum, but gave no other sign of waking up any time soon. Vanessa sighed. 'Plan B, then.' Vanessa hooked her hands under Gregory's arms, picking him up and settling him onto her hip. She placed a hand on his back and made sure he was settled before walking out of the office. She made her way to the parking lot, gently placing Gregory in the passenger seat and buckling him up. Vanessa got into the driver's seat, pulling out of the lot.
Eventually, she made it to the mediocre apartment complex she called home. It was ironic, it was only supposed to be a temporary situation, yet she was still here. Vanessa sighed, shaking that though from her head as she entered the building and found her apartment. She stepped inside, temporarily depositing Gregory on the couch.

When Gregory finally woke up, he immediately noticed that he wasn't in the security office anymore. He rushed to sit upright, eyes darting around the dim room. ..until they landed on Vanessa, who was sitting next to him in the bed, wearing a T-shirt as she balanced her laptop on her knees. Vanessa turned to look over at him, laughing slightly.
"Calm down, kid. You're at my place." She closed her laptop and leaning over to ruffle Gregory's hair. Gregory huffed in response, crossing his arms.
"I knew that.." Gregory sighed, shifting slightly as he laid back against the headboard. He had been to Vanessa's apartment a few times, since he couldn't really live at the Pizza-Plex. It wasn't fancy by any means, but Gregory.. totally didn't think of it as home, not at all.
"Yeah, sure.." Vanessa reached over to her nightstand, grabbing the previously forgotten cupcake box. She picked out a cupcake, holding out an obnoxiously Glamrock Freddy themed one out to Gregory. The boy laughed softly and took the cupcake from her. He unwrapped it, taking a bite out of the cupcake as he glanced over at Vanessa.
Vanessa herself had put her laptop away, deciding that her kid- ..the kid was more important. She the remote in her hand, flipping through the cable channels to find something kid friendly and at least somewhat entertaining. She eventually settled on some cartoon with a blue cat as a main character, since it seemed to fit Gregory's humor.
Gregory hummed slightly in approval of the show, shifting a little closer to Vanessa. He bit into the cupcake, the strong taste of too much food dye hitting his tongue. Surprisingly though, it didn't bother him that much. He didn't think much of it, since he was more focused on the show and blatantly ignoring the fact that he was now cuddling with sort-of-unofficial-big-sister.
Besides, he'd just deny and deflect if he was ever asked about it.
